sorry, but i fall on the Maggie side. if the hog was a stock option, maybe......but to swap a BRAND NEW engine?

The cost per dollar ratio of the FI route far outways the motor swap. Lets say you do get 620fwhp on the LSX. The FI route could be making that much to the wheels and have alot of extra money to pocket. Those that say the LSX would be a drag only engine with alot of maintenance are wrong though. This motor could be made to have perfect driveability with the same maintenance of the ls3. The only thing that would suffer is mpg, by alot. lol. If you have some problem with FI then the LSX motor combination is a good choice or if you are going for more than 800rwhp. If you are not going for insane power and have no discrimination to FI than this motor route is just more money than you need to spend.

The sale of your very low mileage LS3/L99 could easily offset a considerable amount of the cost assuming you did the install yourself. Plus a LSX454 would take a hell of a beating for alot longer than a blown stock motor. If that's not enough reason to reconsider, the LSX could be putting down huge numbers on juice or boost later without even breakin a sweat. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE me some Maggie but this would leave lots of growin room. Not to mention the wicked braggin rights that come with 454 cubes. |

Motor 9,800-10,000, headers, intake, efi,install, tune, 15-16k out the door easy.. but the lsx setup will be nice...
