It took 3 months for my dealer to get a new PDIM. I don't have it in yet since the weather is not cooperating.

If anyone has a suggestion I would appreciate it. I have a 1st Gen Zune 30 gb. I have SW version CE just had that update done last week. My problem is my Zune will be playing along great the sudden toward the end of a song (no particular pattern) I get a message saying "No supported data found. It is safe to remove your device". In an hour drive it would do it on average of 10 times or so. I tried my sons 1st Gen Zune and it does the same thing. When I took the car to the dealer the technician said to put my Zune in Mass Storage Device mode! Never heard of that or was able to find such a think in my instructions for the player.

I use a Zune 30GB also but have never had any issues. Is your Zune running the latest firmware? Are you using the sync cable that came with the Zune or an aftermarket cable?
As far as putting the Zune in mass storage mode, there is no such thing. Since the problem is happening with two Zune devices the problem is most likely with the PDIM unit and not the Zunes. |

Depending on PDIM replacement availability, they will escalate and pull off assembly line if not available. Same goes for my HID ballast if the dealer finds that it is bad. Need to go through the typically dealer diagnosis process to validate problems. Bulb swapped and light doesn't ignite, just flashes once. The car is so new, some parts inventory is scarce or not available. Call GM if dealer is not escalating parts backorder process. The escalation process(pulling from assembly line) is separate from the typically backorder channel. |

I am going to try my daughters IPOD and see if that works. I love my Zune and hope I can get it to work. I will also try another dealer to see if there is one who knows something about what they are actually working on. Thanks! |

Codeman71 - I purchased the PDIM with module for 2010 SS1, I purchased 3 months ago. I installed the new harness and put the module in. I went to dealer and they said the radio was already updated (I asked some questions and the tech didn't really know anything about the system) other than knowing how to plug the computer to car and clicking a mouse. I didn't have a usb cable while with him to check if my Iphone would work. I bought two different cables at best buy and neither of them worked. Car toys didn't even know what was up. Any ideas?

Does your AUX in port work? After I installed the PDIM in my 1SS, the AUX in port did not work until my dealer programed the radio to recognize the PDIM.

codeman71,
The latest update has made other controls change my radio station like i was turning the tuner knob. Once setting the curise control did it and once rolling up the passanger window did it. And a few time before i started paying attention, i was like wtf happened? You ever heard of this before? Thanks

I am very disappointed that GM has not come out with a new PDIM update. It has been many months since CE was released. So many Camaro owners have problems with players that are supposed to be supported. I spent a lot of time and money purchasing and testing various players and sharing all of my test results. I know that many owners, like me, have essentially given up on contacting GM and the dealers to report our issues, but that does not mean the issues have been resolved. Codeman71 has supposedly passed on our complaints to those who are currently responsible for the PDIM software, but Codeman71 has never confirmed that they acknowledge the issues and are working on a fix. I get the sense that they are in denial and telling themselves that the issues are isolated to a few users who either have bad players or don't know how to use them. GM is really missing the mark on this issue.
