Have you tried the mainland?

Currently working with Scott and Anna to try and get one drop shipped. First dealer here wanted $1000 to accept the drop ship.

I tried to go this route when SS constraint hit my order last year. Only dealer doing courtesy delivery(dropship) was Cutter. Back then, they wanted $800. You would probably need to pay the 4.5% FIT tax and register it yourself if you want it released quickly aftger delivery.

Cutter had 4 SS on lot about 2 weeks ago. 2 of them in the showroom were RS. All had the $9995 price adjustment with $1295 paint sealant. Cutter's parts department was much more friendly than their sales. I work nearby so I sometimes pop my head in to see if they're still practicing supply and demand pricing.

I am still amazed at the amount of "aloha" the dealers have here. 10g's? I tried to explain that I could:
1) buy a $600 round trip air fare ticket to LA
2) buy a car at MSRP - discounts (USAA/credit union preferred pricing, etc)
3) Pay Matson $1200 dollars to give my car a boat ride
and still be over 8g's up on them.... the looked at me like I was the nutty one. Then they had the audacity to say, well make an offer, so I told them MSRP and they laughed . I told them okay, so call it 2g's over and then take off the USAA discount and it would be worth it not to have to fly and wait and they laughed harder and told me they were thinking more like 7g's over sticker. Oh well, there loss and then as I was walking away, they complained that the car lot rent was expensive here and someone had to pay.

Saw 4 RS parked outside this morning. Try contacting CamaroScotty or BeckyRodgers. After discounts, my net cost with HI FIT tax 4.5% and Cutter's $800 courtesy dropship fee would've been the same as bought locally. Luckily, my ordered came through with Servco. Don't know if Cutter is charging more for dropship since their cars doesn't seem to be moving as fast. I see SS on the lot every week. They have inventory and can command price.

Cutter's parts dept is more friendly and accommodating than their sales.

its reasons like these, why i have no respect for cutter and jnchevrolet.
ever since i heard they started marking up their prices because of the "supply and demand" concept, i have told all my friends and family NEVER to buy from them.

I should've have clarified that if I went through BeckyRodgers, it would have been comparable to Servco pricing, MSRP. Becky was very helpful and took my early and late PM calls since she is in MI. In the end, I decided to wait since my order was coming up. PLus, I didn't want to give the sales guys at Cutter anything.

If you can wait 5-9 months, Mike or Rick at Leeward is very helpful. Cars should be coming quicker since mainland sales have slowed due to snow.

I'm on the list at servco leeward with mike but I think still in the 60's-80's.

I believe the spastic squirrel site that tracks VIN/order has Leeward at ~30 delivered. It was in the 20s back in Dec. Based on that, it may take a longer than I mentioned.

Servco Orders:
http://camaro.spasticsquirrel.com/#&...6797%2525%2524)

Cutter Orders:
http://camaro.spasticsquirrel.com/#&...6813%2525%2524)

Check out the other forum sections on "dropship" options. There may be issues if damages occur, but it is another option. CamaroScotty and BeckRodgers are sales people from dealers represented in this forum. Cars are purchased from mainland dealership and factory drop ships the car to a local dealer that accepts courtesy deliveries form other dealers, for a fee. Currently, I only know Cutter was doing this for $800 back in Nov. You pay whatever the mainland dealer charges, minus their taxes, Cutter is paid whatever they charge. Car is delivered local dealership and released to buyer after Hawaii State FIT tax(4.5%) is paid and proof shown to DMV for proper Honolulu C&C vehicle registration. I don't know if Cutter will do the FIT tax at State Dept of Taxation and DMV or buyer does it since I didn't use that option. They may tell the buyer to pay the FIT tax directly, get the approval, then Cutter does partially or puts all leg work on the buyer. You need to research that.

Turn-around could be a 6-12 week process depending on in-stock or custom order car.

I have not been watching the cars that closely up at JN, so I hope they have had them a while and will have them for a while longer. If they realized that if they came down, many more cars would be sold. Sell a few at a huge profit, or sell a bunch for lower profit. If we (the residents) just would stop paying it, they would have to lower the price. Basically change the demand to ZERO.

I agree with you guys about JN, I used to go to the parts dept and get hounded by the salesmen.
I found out that servco has 3 camaros on the lot, the red ss and two v6's.

I'd imagine they are sold and just waiting for pick up, they don't come up on the chevy.com website as existing. Just list 14 cars, 4 at JN and the others at Cutter (all with GFX and wheel packages pushing them to almost $45K)

Actually, I don't think they're sold. I was offered the red ss at msrp but red and yellow are the bottom of my list. I think the other cars are a yellow v6 and not sure of the other.
