thanks...im glad yall like it even though i messed it up like four times...total cost to do this mod was under 18 bucks...

i used my factory paint on the calipers in November and it still looks nice...maybe i will try it and if it messes up i will just redo it with heat paint or whatever

Here's one a friend did...he does custom covers on the side for those of you interested.

ok so i want to paint my engine cover now after seing all these lol...great job everyone!!! so i want to do abm cause thats the color of my camaro...i used reguler paint on my calipers also abm...and its been holding up nicely so would regular paint work for the cover? i got a link from someone that i can get a spray can of basecoat clearcoat and primer for 50.00 so if that will work than i will def. order it this week so i can do it next weekend...thanks for the help and any tips are more than welcome lol!

Yes...I have seen others use reg. auto spray touch-up like (Dupli-color) on their covers.

That's what I used but my baby has been in the garage for the winter mostly. It was a hoot to do!
