Did You Guys/Gals See the New Trans Am? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I was reading Motor Trend and they took the Camaro and converted it to a Trans Am and a Firebird. They took the Dodge Challenger and coverted it to a Superbird. All of them pushing over 600 HP. I also saw that the new Mustang is coming out with a 5.0 again and its pushing over 400HP. It just amazes me that after all of these years and a beautiful exterior that Ford cannot get it right. If you want to beat the competition you have to build a base platform that can do better, a 302 is not going to ever come close to any LS engine. Thank God, I like the Camaro more.

Those are terrible photoshops. Oh, and those were posted in 2008.

Alas, even though I still own a Pontiac and owned a '79 Trans AM.

All I can say is Rest in Peace.

Time to move on and enjoy the Camaro. These attempts at resurrecting cars which are passed, doesn't resonate with me.

But, to each their own.

The Firebird is Dead... One day someone might revive pontiac but it will not happen any time soon..

If pontiac made a firebird before they went out, then I think it would look like this..

That is quite possibly the best looking "Firebird" take on the Camaro I have seen and the only one that kinda makes me wish Pontiac had enough time left to do it.
