monstertodd...did the same thing today, makes a huge difference. Fortunately I have a black car so I also did the rear.

How did you remove the red SS on the grill. It looks like it clips on but I don't see anything removed on your grill. Is it also stuck on...use the heat gun to remove it?

Thanks.

Hey memphis,

Thanks, I think it turned out really awesome. The red factory SS logo is a "U" shaped plastic bracket. Each end of the "U" has tabs that fit into corresponding holes in the back of the grill. It was really easy to pop it off. One side of it will pull right out with a little "oomph". The other side, I had to stick a flat head in there to pry a tad while simultaneously pulling the "U" shaped bracket out.

Looks great, how did the new SS attach? Just one look at that and I know I am going to do this when my car comes in.

The badges with the "By Chevrolet" always went on the front or the back of the cars, not on the sides.

Correct, I guess I worded that wrong. I couldn't find a pic of just the script Camaro lettering. Which is larger than the 'By Chevrolet' version.

The "SS" just has an adhesive backing. Just clean up the surface with windex before installing. or a isopropyl alcohol/water 50/50 mixture.

I actually bought mine used from a guy on the site here. Since it's an SLP part, you should be able to get it here.

Yep, those are the ones I want to put on the fenders. Except without the "by chevrolet". I also think I'm going to put the Camaro V flags underneath them.

Hey monster that looks great.

Can you walk me through the process of pulling that bowtie out when you get time?
I tried a week ago but I couldnt figure out which way to pry the tabs since I couldnt see them. Feeling them with my fingers told me nothing and I just gave up for now. Did you remove that radiator plate under the hood to get better access?

Thanks

Old style script or letters on the new Camaro don't do it for me. But I like the fact that since you went old school, you stayed with that look and don't have both lettering styles on the front.

Consistency is the key. Good work!
