1SS Radio question

Is there an auxilary input in the back of the radio in the 1SS for an ipod hook up???

Yes, it's in the center armrest. It's not a USB connection, but it is a standard headphone jack (you need a male to male cable - can get for like $3).

Sit in the driver's seat. Lift your right arm. Open the spot where your arm was just sitting. Look at the back side of it. There's a square piece of plastic. Under that there's a small round hole. Plug your iPod into that hole.

Okay, I am new to the ipod world but I have a 1ss. So if I have this headphone plug, I can just plug an ipod into that? If it is just that easy what is the benefit of the USB on the 2ss vs the headphone plug in the 1ss (if I actually have this plug, my car is in storage)

On the 2SS you can control your iPod using the stereo controls.

The advantage to a USB port is that you can plug a thumb drive with your music into it and not need to use your IPOD or MP3 player to change songs etc.
