I'm not sure of his modification list. It is a 2005 BMW e46 m3 with a stage 3 horsepowerfreaks kit on it. Thats all I know about his car other than it's fast. My son and I have always ribbed each other about who had the fastest car, just the way we are and I enjoy it.

8 MY cash You sound like a DAD to me ,with a son that needs a little American Muscle workover. Turbo Kit 11 to 12 pounds of boost stock bottom end rite at 700 to the rear wheels half shafts and a clutch and fuel system and exhaust. Finish him off with a shot of nitrous. You both should have traction problems, the question is can Dad drive.......Get him DAD The aluminum block will start walking main bearings at this level but it will be fun while it lasts. lsx block to fix that ....GOOD LUCK

Not to mention whatever else I'm forgetting that's going to be needed to support that kind of power..

It's more like "How much are you willing to spend to get the power you want?"
Well, considering his son's turbo kit alone cost over $30K, which is probably right around what Dad paid for his whole car! Dad can easily build his Camaro to the moon and still be under budget.

I'm just sayin'...

If you need 800+ at the wheels, I'd wait around a bit for the twin turbo kits to mature a little. Or a big twin screw might fit the bill if they ever surface. When I need to beat my son, I usually wait 'till he's sleeping. At least I can get a few good licks in before he wakes up. You might tie his feet together before you commence to whippin' on him. That way, you have a chance to get away.

LAMO..... True!! but not bad for a v6 to generate that much power
but i think there's definitely a way to beat him with turbos or sc's

Just curious as to why you think you need 800hp at the wheels? Anyway, you are gonna have to basically change the entire drive train. It will never hold that much power.

Now, we know what the son has. The M3 is a great target for a Camaro to hit in competition, and this is no different.

We now need to know your budget. How much are you willing to spend? If the answer is "whatever it takes," then I've got a solutions for you.

I would go single or twin turbo. I would also add some aftermarket suspension and some rearend parts. Are you going to race your son a 1/4 mile?

I had know idea it was this much to turbo a car, I was speechless when I called him and asked how much he put into his car..good lord. Thats another car, while I gave him a speech about money management I am looking into boosting my car. As for the quarter mile I am not sure, I dont think he will do to well as his car smokes it's tires on the hwy. The s/c set up looks very interesting to me. I just dont think I want to rebuild a new motor, when this one only has 1800 miles on it. I was not wanting to spend more than $18-$20k. seems like I might be ok for entery level items.
