As for the quarter mile I am not sure, I dont think he will do to well as his car smokes it's tires on the hwy. The s/c set up looks very interesting to me. I just dont think I want to rebuild a new motor, when this one only has 1800 miles on it. I was not wanting to spend more than $18-$20k. seems like I might be ok for entery level items.
At $20,000 you can afford a lot of work. I'd recommend replacing your motor with a race-prepared setup from the likes of Wegner or Mast. Add 2 turbochargers. Add headers, a full exhaust, and a professional tune. You will beat your son.

Wear your seatbelt and a diaper. This is going to be a crazy ride.

Ok, let's get some facts straight first. The HorsepowerFreaks E46 M3 Turbo Systems stage 3 is rated at 774 fwhp and 634 rwhp as per their website. Depends if you want to
be fasters at a dragstrip or road race where it is not absolutely necessary to have more hp, but other mods in combination.

Because you supposedly own a Camaro-- But made the common troll mistake of spelling it as Camero.

You appear to be a troll, because you talk about needing 800 hp to beat an M3.

99.9999% of all cars have less HP than that on the street, MUCH less HP. It is rare to ever see a car with 650+ RWHP or AWHP on the streets. Not just rare..

So-- for someone who is into cars enough to want 800HP, wouldn't also know how to spell Camaro.

and finally-- your post count , combined with the other things, makes it fairly easy to call you a troll.

You may not be, but honestly If I were you, I would rather be considered a troll, than the alternative.......

He would also need to do something with his rearend, driveshaft, tranny or he's gonna leave parts all over the track.

I hate that you're right.

You'll need to contact Level Ten about a bulletproof transmission. I believe Lingenfelter has some rear end parts.

good God, $64K for that package? that's just ridiculous. you'd have a $100K invested in a 2010 Camaro counting the price of the car. yes, I do realize it would be a very fast Camaro. but come on, it would still be just a Camaro.

the OP could take that $100K and go buy a ZR1 and still have money left over. there's not much that's gonna catch a ZR1. at least not under the six figures mark.

I think he could have a fully built 650rwhp car with all the supporting drivetrain mods and suspension mods for way less than what a new M3 cost much less a fully built one. Your built engine FI combo(FI=Forced Induction like turbo or supercharger since your new to this forum thing) is going to cost 15K+. Rearend and suspension will be another 5K. You will need a built automatic with a stall at this level if you want it to live but it will live for a little while. If its a stick car I think you will just need a Dual clutch and good driver mod to hold the power. In other words I think its whithin your budget.
