This is the 1st car I have had with leather because I hate how they wear over time. I did not expect to be driving the car as a daily driver but can't help myself. 8500 miles and showing a bit of wear, but not too bad.

I only have about 300 miles (yes only 300 lbs) and Im about 160 lbs. and my leather is already starting to bunch up. Ill take pics in the morning. Not sure why this is. The leather on this car is one of the softest ive felt and i guess this is the trade off between the soft leather on this car VS the very harsh but still firm leather in my Celica.

The wrinkling seems pretty common on leather cars (my friend's 5 3 year old has it and he insists that the wrinkles is what distinguishes his real leather from the "leatherette" that also comes in the base 5 series. However the bunching up is a bit unnerving since i only have 300 miles and have owned the car for less than a week!

I've noticed a little bunching but it's never bothered me. I suppose you could heat it with a hair dryer and work them out. After all thats what the professionals do. Just be careful as the entire seat isn't real leather and you could do more damage then good if it gets to hot.

I'm also worried about wearing out the left side of the seat on the bolster from sliding in. I will try to make an effort to keep my body from sliding on it so hard. I think I can get in the habit of removing my wallet too.

Anyone also notice how easy it is to scuff the sills with your foot? I'm actually putting together a list of parts that I think will wear prematurely and am looking to see if these parts are ever offered on eBay or find them in the junkyard.

May I put in a request of whose infamous "buttprints" that I would like to see? Purely for research.

Cheers
