Why? The Brembo's do better slowing the Camaro down than the Z06's do for itself. Z06 owners should probably be the ones switching to our breaks.

No...I'm not- look at the 60-0 times. (and don't forget the fact the Camaro is carrying around 500 more lbs) The only person that cares if you have 4/6/8/12 piston breaks is the idiot at the car show that never really drives his car. There are some benefits, but not enough in my opinion...and if anything, the Camaro's brembos are still alot better than the Z06 breaks...which is what the OP is talking about.

PBR - Z06 brakes are amazing but for the money he can go with 2 piece (lighter rotors = less unsprung weight) plus stoptech/brembos would be a killer setup for less money.

I like to see some data how you can state that a 4 piston stock brembo is better than than a stock PBR Z06 6 piston.

Look at the magazine reviews for both cars, the SS brakes are slowing a car down that is 500 lbs heavier in the same/shorter distances than the Z06 and shows less fade...where is your data? Obviously a flow blown aftermarket 2 piece rotor set with brand name calipers are going to be better than either of the above...but to the OP that thinks its worth swapping...its not.

You are correct, sir. Not to mention the Brembo's, while not the high-end aftermarket Grand Turismo variety, won't have the instant death fade the C6Z brakes suffer from. They will definitely fade when pushed hard, but they will give more warning than just using the nearby K-rail.

I've had my brakes begin to fade whilst undertaking a bit of 'spirited' driving, I do not have a problem with the stopping power but, prolonged use does see a drop in effectiveness-I think drilled and grooved rotors will allieviate the problem!

Some of us are confused...is the OP breaking his brakes? If he is breaking his brakes, maybe he does want to look at getting something better?
