GM isnt even going to be able to sell the Camaro except for the few hard cores on this site. They are going to have to give it away if they want anyone else buying it.

The way things are going now, you would be crazy to buy any automobile.

GM will stay in business and keep making cars. If they get bailed out by government or another investor they should continue on the same course they are on now. They may need to do some trimming and reorganizing but remember Chrysler in the 80s. They recovered well from as slow market, GM should be able to do the same. Where is that father of the Mustang?, Lee Iacoca. Maybe he could show them the way. Remember? He was working for Ford before Chrysler.

The only way I won't be driving a new Camaro is if it isn't built. When it is, GM will still have dealerships with service departments.

GM isn't going anywhere!

GM isn't going anywhere. Right now the stock is at $5.06, (up .30 from yesterday). Even if GM files for bankruptcy protection, they will not be closing their doors. Let's just keep the faith and hope that everyone on this site that says that they are buying a new Camaro actually BUYS a new Camaro.

I also agree that in the near future this crisis will come to an end or at least the not so good half, at least the 2008 malibu is a hit they are all over the place, but that new chevy travers is having that euro look and chevy buyers don't like that they want american looking cars that car will die slowly after it comes out, i hope the camaro is a hit so it can help them out, i doubt it will close its door but if it dooes i would be sad.

It's a good idea to buy stock in GM. It's at a low price, the government would never allow GM to go under, and the Volt is just around the corner.

Gas prices will do the Camaro in before GM shutting its doors will.

GM won't be shutting it's doors. No way the U.S. government will allow GM or Ford to go down the drain completely. If GM were to file bankruptcy it would be partially so they could void the UAW contract which is so heavy with costs it is killing all of the big three. The future will be interesting but I have not changed my opinion on buying a Camaro.
