WOW..just WOW!!!

Everyone that has posted in here bitching about taxes just needs to STFU for a minute, and think about what they are saying!!!

First of all, you all should feel extremely lucky to live in America. We are the greatest country in the world, and the entire world envies us.

Secondly, you should be greatful that you are able to afford a new Camaro, and I'm sure noone here is homeless, or has ever really missed a meal either!! Ask someone in Somalia or Darfur how bad they feel for you!!

Third. Okay, so how much taxes do you really pay?? $10,000?? $20,000?? $30,000???Seriously think about all the things you get for that money..Just think about it!!
Ask Ahmed in Iraq if he had the chance to come to America and pay twice that much to live here, would he..Damn straight he would!!

I know the system isn't perfect, and it does suck paying taxes, but when you look at the alternatives, like not living in the USA, paying taxes doesn't seem so bad does it??

America: love it, or get the F out!!

END RANT!!

I do love it and I WILL NEVER GTFO, EVER. This is my country and because of that, I get to vote every two years. Because I love my country does not mean that I must sit quietly by while the non working parasites sieze my hard earned money. I am a tool and die maker. Do you think that any of the tax and spend politicians ever dirtied their EFFING hands producing anything? You can bet on what the answer to that is. If you feel so strongly about the taxes I will gladly let you pay mine for me. There is "reasonable and unreasonable", when my household income goes down I must tighten my belt and live within my means. Our bloated state government does not. They just take more of our hard earned money from us. For all of those EFFING taxes, we get pot holes, falling down tunnels, (the big dig cieling fell and killed a woman on her way to Logan Airport) and a governor who promised tax RELIEF and gives us more taxes instead. You sound like a member of the tax and spend party that runs our state. If we were getting what we are paying for this rant would not be here. For my excise tax, I get to drive to work on unplowed streets while the plow drivers are drinking 24 oz. Dunkin Donut coffees under an overpass. Check out the Winchester Highlands exit off of I-93 some snowy day.

Yes we feel lucky to live in America. Yes we believe our country is great. And yes we know much of the world envies us.

Does that mean we are not allowed to voice our disagreement with the way our politicians are mismanaging the tax dollars our government takes from us? That's a HELL NO.

Our country is great, and people around the world envy us because of this thing called the Bill of Rights. And the reason the First Amendment is the first one in that list is because it's the most important. We are given the right to voice our opinions and concerns without fear of retribution by our government.

Massachusettes has had a long line of politicians running the state that have managed to pass a multitude of legislation designed to suck as much money out of its citizens as possible. People in that state have every right to be disgusted with the amount of money that gets siphoned out of their paychecks and bank accounts every year from all of the different state and federal taxes they have to pay for various things.

But apparently they're just supposed to bend over and take it and thank their lucky stars they live in the land of the FREE...

I'm glad our forefathers didn't quit trying to make this country better. If they just sat on their hands and settled for being in a better situation than they were in their original countries, the USA probably wouldn't exist today.

To STFU and just milk the country for everything you can get without regard for future generations is extremely selfish - and un-American.

America: If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

Of course the assessor's office has some lame excuse about they only value at 50% for pre manufacturer year and now that it is 2010 and it is 90% of the actual value......Good old taxachusetts!
I used to call it Taxachusetts and get bothered by this stuff when I lived there ...then I moved to California. Count your blessings.

New Hampshire isn't much better. Registration will be around $500 maybe more and we paid this every year, over time it does go down. I work in MA so have to pay MA income tax and what do I get out of it?

Born and raise in MA glad when I moved to NH.

Excise tax is one of the reasons I will no longer buy brand new. Not only does a pre-owned buyer save on the depreciation but the excise tax is cut significantly once the car is 2-3 years old.

Obviously the new gen Camaro guys don't have much options to avoid excise tax since it's first year of production. Can't wait till I cast a vote against Devil Patrick

BTW still waiting on the property tax relief he promised.........

I am absolutely happy that I live in America, and being an American....have absolutely every right to voice my dissatisfaction with ridiculous taxes here in Massachusetts..........I bust my ass and go to work. I support a family of 4 on my measly earnings....I am only a medical secretary. I am extremely gratefull that I can afford a 2010 Camaro and maintain things financially for my family....Yet every which way I turn, I'm hit with a tax for this and a tax for that. While, and being in healthcare....have seen a great share of this.....too many sit on their asses either collecting welfare....(or Transitional Assistance as it is called now), SSI, MassHealth, and any way they can manipulate the system so they don't have to work...Hell they don't even want to do 20 hours of community service to keep their TA benefits. While they are sitting at home in their apts. and houses that the state's Section 8 program is paying up to 100% of their rent, and on top of that sending them hundreds in cash and foodstamps. Back to the SSI,,,....The great federal gov't can deem a person either physically or mentally incapable of taking care of themselves. So they send them a check every month, even if they never paid one red cent into social security. Give them affordable housing, MassHealth (free Insurance here) cash, food stamps...some can even get that gas bill they haven't paid in 6 months paid by some gov't assistance program...yet they continue to have kid after kid only to get another check for a dependent from good old Uncle Sam.....Unable to take care of themselves, but not the kids? And lets not even get into the amount of tax money this state dumps into healthcare for non-citizens. Do you know how many women come over here (especially to MA, because our benefits are so damn good) pregnant...far enough along that a doctor here will say its unsafe for the pregnancy to fly back to their native country.......deliver and never leave or become citizens....and are entitled to all the benefits that I detailed above, all explained to them in their native language Not english, by someone employed via our taxdollars to translate. Yep thats why since I bought my Camaro in June 2009, i've paid almost $3k in taxes......it definitely isn't because I'm driving on such well paved roads and highways here in MA? How's that for STFU?
