dont know what our dealer put in our L99 before we bought it, but we have used 93 or 91 (whichever is available when time to fill up) since we brought it home. the car is definitely fast (comparing to my truck and the envoy we traded) but it doesnt spin tires with traction control on. it barely wants to do it with traction control off! it was built in november and was at dealer last week, but still almost no spin without deliberately trying with traction off. even in rain with traction control off it still doesnt spin much. i would think with TC off and in the rain i would barely be able to control it! yall think i should try the fuse pull?

The ECM logic to go from one spark table to the other is not visible with HPT but you can make both tables read the same.

So I pick up my car from the dealer and of course they scratch the inside of the driver's side door. I try so hard not to scratch it but apparently they are not as carefuly. However, scratches I can live with. My car is now noticably slower. It has a tremendous lag when you step on it and the engine screams but the car just doesn't want to go. (This is how my 1996 Impala SS felt with headers, exhaust, intake, TB, and chip installed). Yes, it will still spin the rear tires from a dead stop with the traction control on but the lag is killing me. The service guy I was dealing with told me on the phone that there was a problem with the L99's, that it was fixed and my car was built (1/10') after the fix. I know they reset my computer or battery or something because my radio lost it's saved "tone" adjustments. No biggy there. Simply put, I just don't recognize the feel of my car right now. This is what the dealership wrote on my service invoice: CUST FEELS FUEL ECONOMY ISN'T WHAT IT SHOULD BE. IDLE APPEARS ROUGH AT START UP AND WHILE DRIVING (i didn't say that last part to them). CUST INFORMED ELSEWHERE (C5 INSPECT-NO SES-CHECK FOR BULLETINS-NONE IN ANY SYSTEM-CHECK FOR PROGRAMMING UPDATES-VEHICLE IS CURRENT-TEST DRIVE-NO DRIVEABILITY CONCERNS NOTED- NO REPAIR MADE-VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY WORKING CORRECTLY Maybe I just need to drive it for a couple of hours and it will return to normal. I plan on getting it dynoed tomorrow so I will see what the HP/TQ #'s are. |

Holy crap. Ya, one of the things I got the most frustrated with during those 3 months was that the service department would drive it and say that it's a freakin' beast. Nothing wrong with this car. And after going to them about 5 times, one of them said "Sir, if you wanted a Corvette, you should have bought one" ![]() I felt so good when they were all proven wrong. The clock doesn't lie. |

If you're into nice cars you can tell the difference between individual models and if you want your Camaro to run how it's supposed to run, we shouldn't be blamed for that. I have some good news. I hope it stays this way. My car seems to be running much better tonight. I drove it a little more. Smashed on it a little and bam, seems like she remembers who she's performing for. These computers want to run the show. I finally understand how valuable a good tuner can be. A good tuner is like master of his Camaro universe. G-d bless. Looking forward to my planned dyno tomorrow. I'm hoping for solid HP/TQ #'s. |

like I said my car needs to be floor a couple of times to get to its full potential
with spinning if I floor it it doesn't blow tires off it just spins a lil unless I really make it spin alot.. car has a lot of grip I have LS3

I dont know where article is but they found out nissan brought a ringer for nurinberg test. The US GT-R that they tested wasnt fast enough or handle as good..

probably safer then most cars.. my last car just retarded timing when it sense knock to get rid of it.. but the engine had to knock for it to keep pulling the timing.. u put low octane in and the car wouldnt even run
