The S197 Mustang GT is a very nice car and handles well its one issues is lack of power....until now. I would be very interested in seeing a dyno graph of the 5.0 to see the torque curve and the area below the curve. I love the Camaro to be sure and still would pick it over the GT, but I got to admit that a 3650 lbs 2011 Mustang GT is very appealing. Even with the drop in front end weight the GT500 is still to nose heavy, better but not right. I would do either a 2011 GT or a Camaro 1SS and put an SC on it along with suspension updates to get them around corners.

And I am actually happy with this the SS I just sold is a dime a dozen on the streets now. But only 9% for my GT500 I'll take it. The Camaro outslling the Mustang will only help fill the streets and make them less rare!

Chuck I appologize I got into a discussion with Kevin and Stew and I didn't mean for it to carry on so long but me and stew are cool now I hope Kevin feels the same way anyways back to my beauty! I know I was just jerkin your chain, but yeah that is a rad idea! The M3 does, and the Evo I think only had it on their non production cars or maybe the Evo VII or VIII, not the X for sure I drove one last year! Unless you can get the carbon fiber in grabber blue with white stripes no go for me man!

If you watch Camaro Scotty's interview with Scott S. (Fbodfather) you would know that the Camaro team is not going to take this lying down.....

No Mustang guy here was trying to crash the Camaro's party so guys chill out. The original post was juts to let everyone know that the Mustang has picked up sales and pre-orders. The truth is the better we both do the more GM and Ford have to keep updating and making their cars better.
I will be very pleased when GM takes the lid off the Z28 because than I know Ford will have to up the ante depending on the Z28 specs on the GT500. And that goes vice versa, but first GM needs to focus on getting the top dog out of the pound before it gets put to sleep in this economy! Without the Z28 my GT500 will never evolve into what I want it to. And without the GT500 GM may have never even thought or tried to attempt a Z28 in these economic times. We need one another even though we like to forget this, and bash each other, as fanboys!

The only thing thats really going to hurt the sales of the Camaro is...
The sales of the Camaro. ![]() It doesn't seem to me there are tons available yet, so we aren't going to get that mad dash at the end of the model year for reduced prices. I'll actually bet pretty soon the old Mustangs will outsell the Camaro for at least a couple months while people gobble up their inventory for near highway robbery prices. To be honest, I could care less who buys what as long as its something nice to look at. I'm sick of being stuck in traffic behind shitboxes and SUVs I can't see around. I'm glad a bit of the car culture is coming back around in this country.

Car and Driver just did a detail test on the Lingenfelter 570, weight was 3,992 and Front%/Rear% was 54%/46%... FYI. They did a good job keeping the weight below 4k lbs.

Very cool! I'm happy for Ford! Yes, GM, keep pushing! get on board with the track packs like Ford does! I really like the sound of the GT and really like the GT500! I wouldn't ever buy it over my Baby though, but it's about the only vehicle I would consider from Ford. Keep going GM!
