Chevrolet called me today
So, today I received my third call from Chevrolet to ask me if I'm happy with my Camaro. Each time I've told them that I am, but that I only drove it home from the dealer the day I bought it (Jan. 23, 2010) and haven't driven it since due to snowy/salty roads. (It's been in the garage covered ever since.)
Anyway, at the end of the short survey, they asked me what, if anything, I would change about the car. Here are the things I could think of: 1. Navigation screen on the dash. (No, On Star turn by turn doesn't cut it for me). 2. Ability to raise and lower the passenger seat. 3. Make the DRLs so I can turn them on and off (even if the headlights are on). (I have the RS package) I'm sure there are other things, but that's what I thought of on the spot. Oh yeah, they also asked me what I liked best about the car. I said "there are so many things that I love about the car that it's hard to point to just one. But, I'd have to say the styling and how fun it is to drive." Have any of you gotten this call? I was hoping if enough of us made the same suggestions, they might listen. I think GM is serious about keeping their customers happy. Nice to see. Cheers. |

I got an e-mail from my dealer's service department saying my camaro may be due to come in for it's 6000 mile check. I bought it on 9-29 and have 372 miles on it. It will be a little while til I hit that 6000 mile mark. No survey questions for me though. I got 2 surveys when I bought my mazda (one from mazda and one from jd power)

I got the call, gave them the passenger seat issue, the small truck opening which could have been bigger to accommodate the truck which is quite sizable, and the use of XM instead of sirius.
I told them that the car is otherwise fantastic and they should have listen to the consumer and done this sooner.

XM and Sirius are the same now, they merged.

there are still differences, you have to pay extra with XM to get many of Sirius's Channels, they just merged the duplicate channels for the most part.

Not the same ! They are two different delivery technologies. XM drops out all the time. Most channels are the same but the equipment and clarity is not.

To date I only got the e- mail survey to make sure "I'm completely satisfied". Took delivery 1-26, same boat as you Darth, 115 miles on her. I may take the cover off this week to see if she'll start.

I've been waiting for this call forever. My biggest thing is more functionality with the steering wheel controls.

Catch me if you can

I got the call 27 days after my purchase, when they found out the exact date of delivery I was told, "We're sorry, but we can only talk to customers that have owned the car for 30+ days..."
Ah um ok...I guess, then the hung up on me...

I wish I had thought to mention that I think they should have made it possible to carry a spare tire in the SS. Oh well.
