23k/31k... that's about 17k/23k Euro.

The new Golf starts here at 16.5k Euro. And "starts" means that you will get about 80hp and if you are really lucky you get air conditioning.

The prices in the US seem pretty damn cheap to me. I bet here in Europe the new Camaro will be at least 25-35k Euro. Just like the Mustang is.

If GM would release the new Camaro in Europe for 19.995 (LS) and 24.995 (SS) Euro, all hell would break loose. For sure many would buy it. People just won't pay a European price for a car that'll lose half its worth in just a few years - After all you would lose less money if you'd lease an S-Class Mercedes for the same time.

So my biggest hope is that the quality is okay. Especially when it comes to the transmission. I heard the C6 transmissions are braking all the time. At least here in Germany.

Close but maybe a grand too low.
It all depends on the HID costs?
Some HIDs are 1500-2000 alone?

Shouldn't we not factor in the HID just yet? That's like, a long time away or at least that's what I remember.

No issues here with the C6 that I've heard OR experienced.

BTW, is the transmission the exact same as the C6?

HID's are the major part of the RS appearance package. The Halos...

i see the hids costing around 700 for the set and considering what else is on the ss already, i think the rs will only be $1200-$1400 on the SS.

i hope that these prices are wrong and that the prices are lower... i remember that GM said it would build more V8 camaros than the V6 camaros... if this is still true it would really suck

It is a Tremec 6 speed, as in Corvette, adapted to their drivetrains.
