Moose,
Sorry if this has been asked before...
What do you think of Adam's products? I am considering ordering a bunch of stuff from them. Thanks!

No problem, re; "if this has been asked before". That's what I'm here for - to help any way I can.

As for 'Adams' products, I cannot offer any personal experiences as I've never used their products, but from reading posts and seeing the results of others who have used 'Adams', I believe they offer quality products...so after my long winded response.......I say "GO FOR IT!"

Hi Moose.

It's been awhile.

I remember awhile back you recommended something for the interior other than Zano. What was that?

I use Zano for the leather seats, but what do you use for everything else interior?

Thanks,
Adam

Ed you are like one of the best guys on this site... I have been reading you stuff for the last three hours... I started on page one, but i do have a question...

I wax, polish, wash on a regular and consistent basis, living in dusty California leaves dust settles on my car after about two to three days, sometimes i dust the car lightly or rinse the car in between washes... Is this OK? or would you suggest something other than this?

I'm a so cal dweller. I use a california duster and Adam's waterless car wash between weekly washes. If you use proper technique you won't harm your paint at all.

What do you mean by rinse? If your going to hose down your car you should just wash it, rinsing without soap can cause a lot of paint damage. Just a rinse with water then a drying towel = rubbing dirt all over your clearcoat = swirl marks.

Watch the junkman videos here @ Adam's Forums for proper technique (california duster) and use of waterless car wash.

Hope that helped

Ed,

Is there anything I can do about scratching on the windshield? It looks like my wipers had sandpaper in them. I can't feel the scratches but you sure can see them. I'm not sure about what to use. I have been searching. Any suggestions other that replacement? Thanks!

Hi!

There are alot of different polishes available specifically for glass polishing;

- Autoglym
- DP High Performance Glass Restorer

They can be found on the internet, but I'm certain automotive stores offer something similar.

Also, if you have access to a random-orbital buffer, that would aid in the polishing/removal of the fine scratches you describe.

I hope that helped? If you need further help, please let me know.

I'll give it a shot. I like DP products. My PC 7424XP is always working out! Just didn't want to take that on without asking for some guidance. I'll check it out. Thanks!

An old trick my dad taught me was denture cream, not toothpaste as it has abrasives, but DENTURE CREAM if they are not too deep it will polish out.

Anyone have suggestions for fighting hard water stains on the car. Our water here in the Tampa Bat area is really bad for the past 6 weeks. Is there any type of filter system available for a garden hose ? I know the Mr Clean system has been discontinued (worked good for the filter part) ... I've had to use a liquid clay and a polish to remove the stains ...

Thanks

SlingShot Mr. Clean sells an item called Mr Clean Auto Dry Car Wash. I just got one on at Walmart yesterday for $8. The cartridge is supposed to last for 3 washes then you have to replace it.

You were lucky to find it, it is a discontinued item ... I've been to every Walmart and Target in my area and have had no luck ...
