Got the new grill on

OK, my turn for pictures. This grill looks so much better IMO than the egg crate. Spent most of my time trying to figure out how to put the SS back on. I wanted to find some plastic to mount on the back and melt like I read here somewhere. After much trying I cut the tabs off and use 3M glue. I didnt paint it but after looking at it on, I think it does need painted. It's not bad taking the front off, looks much worse than it really is.

You actually wouldn't have to. You can buy the clips to use your bowtie with the heritage grill.

Here's the link:

About 3/4 of the way down the page.

Lookgs great, I have a few questions, do you have to take off your front wheels, and do you completely take out the wheel well liners? Also what size sockets do you need and what size torx bit?
How long did it take you to get it off, I was thinking of doing mine either tomorrow or monday.

Thanks!

No, you can turn the wheels to get the the torx screws and scrivets. This way you dont have to bother taking the wheels off. Then the well liners just sit on top of the tire. You need a 10mm and 7mm and not sure what size the torx was. Probably took about 30-45 min take it off. I took my time. Then I spent a long time trying to figure out if/how I wanted the SS back on. And the facia is really light, dont need a 2nd person to help. The hardest part was getting the old grill unclipped from the facia - what a pain.

Thats what I spent the most time on. I made post out the plastic that was already on it and then wanted to make a backing for it. I couldnt get it to work like I wanted so I took a dremel tool and made it flat on the back and then used 3M glue.
