high beams

Today for the first time, my car has been in the garage for months now because of the snow. i went in my car and was messing with things. when i turned the high beams on i heard a clicking noise, almost a banging noise. the lights still worked, is this from the cold. it was like 35 degress. does this play a factor??

i'm guessing its the HID thing.... some sort of relay... mine does it to. much easier to hear inside a garage as opposed to outside...

It is a metal shield that moves so the High beam is diffused into the housing. I haven't heard it, just know how it works on the RS/HID Lights.

Perfectly normal with Bi-xenon HID systems.

Here's a picture that shows the solenoid that moves the shield when the high beams are activated.
