42 years old and all my life I loved the Pontiac TransAM. Ever since I saw Smokey and the Bandit, I have always wanted a TransAM. Then, Knight Rider came out, I was hooked. It was not until I was 37 did I get my first TransAM. I bought a used 99 TransAM, T-Tops, Leather, everything you can think of, off a dealer lot. It has 75K on it and I loved it. It needed some work, nothing major (breaks, tires, WATER PUMP)...But I loved her. Stories of the Camaro were out, but I was not holding out for it, I loved the TransAM. However, at the Buffalo Auto Show in 08 or 09, I don't remember, they had a concempt Camaro there. Boy, was she beautiful. I was hooked. The spring of 2009, I sold my TransAM and banked the money. I was set on getting the Camaro. I ordered the end of November 2009 and she should be in my Garage by the end of this week.

Once upon a time...
Sister meets boy.
Boy sells Chevy's.
Sister marries boy.
Boy gives family great deal on new Camaro.
And they lived happily ever after (Me & Camaro).

I had the day off, asked my wife if she could get off early.
one thing led to another and afterward she fell asleep. I tiptoed out of the house, put on my slippers and drove off to the dealership to make the deal. However, she continuously beat me the next two weeks every time she saw me, but being able to drive away in my camaro makes it worth it.

I already made up my mind that if I got one it would be the big dog, 2SS, V8, M6 and I assumed it would be out of my range. I had a camaro before but I had to get the V6 and it didn't have the power the new one's have. I am not knocking any other model. I think they are all beutiful but anything but the above and I would feel I was settleing.

Brother lives by a dealership and on weekends we would pass and wife would say "what coler do you like?" and "I like the way the red ones look." but I wasn't being pulled into researching and reading about them and wanting one so bad but not being able to pull the trigger.

Then one day the wife says "Lets at least go take a look at them" so we did. That was Friday. We test drove a VR 2SS M6. On the way home she said "Your trucks paid off I think we could swing it" I signed papers on Monday.

My Wife is Awsome!! I Love My Car!!
This is almost the same for me. My story starts in 2007 at the Texas State fair. My wife and I were checking out the auto shows as usual when we walked around a corner to see it. It was staring me down with that evil looking front end. I stopped in my tracks and said, without knowing what it was; "That thing looks Evil, I want it!" I then walked over to take a closer look. Walked around the back and told my wife "It even has a nice a$$!" So from this day it was all I ever talked about. I also never thought I'd be able to get one. I've also never had a "nice" car. Then last year the final weekend of "Cash for Clunkers", my wife talked me into seeing what I could get for my truck. She told me to log into any dealership website so I logged into chevy. Put in all my info and selected the car I want. It was then I found out they start at $22,000. It was this moment I thought maybe, just maybe I could get one. Then I built my car and the price shot up to $38,000. That dream was short lived. We were thinking we could maybe get a 2LT and I was going to. But then we talked to a dealer and found out we could get a better rate than we thought. Came home and ran the numbers one more time and I ordered my 2SS/RS dream car the next day. My wife too, is Awesome! I now have my first dream car!

I made a trip to G.M. At Carlisle Pa back in '07 just to see the orange Camaro prototype. At that instant I knew I would order my new Camaro the day they were available. Of course that didn't work out as the Summit white I wanted wasn't offered until July 09.
Ordered 6/11, had #132351 in my driveway 8/21.
