Has any 2LT owner changed a 2LT bumper to an SS bumper - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I cracked my 2LT bumper a couple months ago and want to upgrade my front bumper to the SS bumper. I want to make sure I know if theres any parts that are needed or different to change from the 2LT to the SS. I had heard the grill was different from the 2LT.

i think once you have the RS on your 2LT you can just to the change easy.

That link is exactly what I needed. I notice phasetek has a complete kit to do it. just a matter of getting someone to install it in Buffalo NY so I dont have to pay duties etc. I have contacted jason at Phasetek

Yep all you will need is the SS bumper cover, the SS lower grille, and the mailslot grille.

Phasetek wants $524 unpainted. looks like its cheaper at a dealership. Are there any Buffalo NY dealerships on the boards ?

Don't forget shipping when I checked with GMPartsdirect.com tht total for the bumper alone shipped was $355 and another $85 for the other two parts the lower grille comes in a huge box almost 4 feet long. For myself it was cheaper to order the parts from my dealership (shipping was free plus with GMParts Direct they will ship the bumper to the local Fed Ex depot only and you have to pick it up at that location.

Figure about $250-$300 for paint and IMHO do the install yourself most bodyshops will charge almost $200 to install the bumper.
