Admittedly, I haven't heard any system in person. But of all of the systems that I have compared, I think FirstCamaro2k10 nailed it when he said it was the most V8 sounding. Also, look earlier in the thread, people describe it pretty well. I've made my mind up. I'm going Flowmaster Kit as soon as I get my ride.

I think it has the nicest sound.

I love the Corsa, but like I said - $1135 is a little more than I'm willing to shell out. You really can't beat the price/sound of this one in my opinion.

To be right around $500 shipped and installed is perfect.

Hornitt,
Called my muffler guy this morning and asked him to order the X pipe. It will be a Magnaflow. Get it installed Saturday. More to follow, maybe I'll get my son to do a Vid to post. He does that stuff better then I do.

I've read an X-pipe can cause a smoother, lower tone...but to me it just seems it would cause more turbulance than an H-pipe....but Im no expert so what do I know!?

Interested in seeing what the x-pipe does for you. and if anyone knows...does the entire exhaust from the H-pipe back have to be removed to install one?

Looks something like this one, and goes in where the H pipe is now. Mine will be welded. There are some that can be bolted in.

Yeah...I know what it is and where it goes...just don't know much about how hard of an installation it is, and what kind of tone changes it will make for the V6. If it did indeed give a lower tone without adding rasp or robbing power, I'd definitely consider it.

Anyways, don't intend to throw off the topic of this thread, just something I've wondered about.

I see how it could smooth it out. And no, you wouldn't have to remove anything. You cut out a piece of the exhaust under the car (the H-pipe) and put the X-pipe in place of it. That sounds like a great idea. Let me know how it works out. It should work well.

That is definitely on topic. The Flowmaster Kit is directly affected by the X-pipe. I started this thread. And I decide that the X-pipe is on topic.

I've been listening to the clips on Youtube from kga10734 with my Bose over ear headphones and damn, this sounds terrific. If you are on the fence and have access to good headphones, give them a listen. It sounds tremendous.
