What seems like a life time ago, college in Peterborough in 1987, worked for Livingston International on Edinbough Drive in Moncton for a year after graduating in 1989 and have been here in Ontario ever since.

I haven't had any experience with Lounsbury's other then one of my uncles worked for them years ago but it was the heavy equipment division.

Most of the family is still in Sussex and I usually get home a couple of times a year. After all this time, I still consider NB home.

All Canadians who plan on ordering this car better be wearing bullet proof underwear because GM of Canada is going to try and stick it to you. Everytime they have a winner, they think they can inflate the price. The G8 GT starts at 36,900 CDN so I think the 1SS will start at that price as well.

Well, there are a few ways to try and guess the pricing.

  • look at the prices on the Mustang GT and Challenger R/T. They are what the Camaro is priced against so it should have a similar spread up here as down there.
  • look at the price of Impala SS, which costs about the same as the Camaro and is also made at the same plant as the Camaro.
  • Add 10-15%

A loaded automatic 2SS/RS should still be well under $50 000

As far as I can see, both Mustang GT, and Challenger R/T are 10% more expensive here.... so the 2SS with RS package, should get us into the ballpark of $40,000.... I hope !!!
