Under 1,000 miles and going back to Chevy

Okay, so this is my first chevrolet purchase (let alone first american car purchase) and it was going great until....early monday about 4 in the morning the car starts beeping and the lights are on so I figured the only logical explanation is that I still had the key in my pocket and I rolled over on them, look around and the key is on my dresser so that theory not so much, anyway I press the lock a couple times and it was acting funny but it stopped so I went back to sleep...wake up later to go to work and I pressed my unlock button hazards flash three times and my trunk opens? every button did the same thing, so naturally I call the dealership to have it looked at....

Take it in this morning at 8:30 and I was told I could wait for it...well 2 and a half hours later guy comes back and says we had to pull the computer so it could relearn the key and the sunroof so I said okay okay can I get out of here now? "Sureeeee everything is fine now"......

On the drive home the tire pressure light throws on so I say to myself alright thats another appointment but atleast we got the key fixed..not so fast, get home and go to lock the door when I got out to come to find out that the trunk opened again, absolutely furious for having to wait two and a half hours for nothing call the dealer immediately and they say bring it back, brought it back they give me a Tahoe and I come home.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? if so how was the problem solved? all comments are welcome and appreciated

Edit: I will have full response to what type of resolution they came too when I pick up the car

Wow, you must live near some freak electromagnetic amomaly!
Mine has behaved, so far. No problems with the remote or uncommanded operations.
I wonder if someone nearby is inadvertantly setting yours off with their key? Maybe you should take the battery out (of the key) and use the key mechanically for a while. If the problem still happens, then it wasn't your key but, I guess, some stray interference. If the problem disappears, maybe your key is broken.
And what about the second key? Is it possible someone was using it?

Proud to say that Im the only camaro around here, or in my neighborhood, and the other key did the exact same thing..they originally said they called up GM and were given instructions but when I got home I had the exact same problem before I brought it there plus 1 lol (tire monitor sensor) so when I get it back I will update with resolution this manner..and the two previous cars Ive owned had electrical problems but what audi (04 S4 07 A4) hasnt had electrical problems or any other for that matter!

Very unusual? Maybe a faulty receiver?

A couple people posted on here that sometimes they open the trunk when their key is in their pockets when getting in or out of the car...

Maybe the key FOB itself is bad. Ask for another key... Maybe there's some sort of short in the key itself.

The tire pressure thing.... uh, maybe the dealer had to take the tires off the wheels to fix the problem... just kidding!

hope this does not turn into one of those gremlins you will be chasing for ever. About 6 years back I had an a6 with electrical issues, just thinking about that car

Hmmmmm, I kinda recall something like this happening with the first ones that rolled off the line. I can't seem to find anything in my search though. I'll keep trying.

I have owned many new GM cars and the only one I ever had an electrical issue out of was my 88 Gran Prix... After two years the instrument panel started doing crazy things, when it got cold out, it would sometimes switch from English to metric units, The first time It happened I was cruizing down the interstate thinking I was doing about 70, when I looked down at the speedometer it showed 110, I about had a cow...

I say take the key back to chevy and get a new key. If the new key does the same... Then I think the best thing to do is trade the Camaro in...
