There are 2 4th gens I pass almost every day. One white z28 driven by an older guy (older then me, not older then 40 I guess) that waves at me damn near every morning. The other is a red v6 driven by some kid, no older then 17. I've seen him at the light leaving my neighborhood a few times. I'll just be sitting a few cars ahead of him and as I turn out left to head to work, he always hauls ass to catch up to me and get next to me only to slow down and then gun it. It's happened 3 times in the now 2 weeks I've had the car. I'm not about to waste gas on shutting him up so I'll just deal with it.

I'm down for the challenge.

You know it's funny. When I see another muscle car on the road, I usually don't look over because I don't want to get a bad reaction from the other person and be ticked off about it.

Having said that, I guess I'm the snobby peron that is snubbing the other driver. I've definitely had a lot of people come up to me in parking lots and say nice car etc.... AND definitley had my share of revved engines from people wanting to race, even from mini vans!

I'm in Texas and everyone is supposed to be so polite, but I'm in the big city and there are definitiely a lot more a$$holes than polite folks out there.

Usually half of them want to race, and drive like idiots when they spot me.

The other half don't even acknowledge me, and I'm not even sure they know what the new Camaro looks like.

I only ask this because this guy spots me today when I'm driving home and keeps passing me up, revving his engine and looking over at me...but no thumbs up's or anything. This seems to have happened a lot, i find it weird.
That's funny, because I've had exactly ONE 5th gen driver acknowledge my presence with a wave while in my 4th gen. The rest have ignored me. I'm assuming none of them were members of Camaro5.

I have the same story but I wave to every Camaro I see. Really doesn't matter if they don't wave back. I figure I either will meet, or have met about every 4th Gen owner around this area. I try and go to their events since these guys all like putting their own parts on. I also think the 4th gens are a very sexy car. I had an 02 Z-28 until 2006ish and loved it. Only thing that killed it was no cruise control and the tickets..

I'm a proud owner of a 4th gen and I run across a fifth gen or two from time to time here in Jacksonville. I always wave and blip the throtle when I come up next to a fifth gen on the road and for the most part a majority of them wave back but there are the few who think their s&/t don't stink. I'm like some here, I feel we are all part of the same family so why not acknowledge each other.

P.S. if you own a silver 2SS and live off Collins rd.

NICE RIDE!!

Same up here. All the 5th gen'ers seem a little snooty. Andy just picked up another 2000 SS in Jersey, says the same thing; 2010 owners snub him. It's like the (not all) corvette guys...i hope this isn't a trend.

Most the 4th Gen's around here have the crap beaten out of them. The look like heck. I really do not think anyone around here but maybe 1 person even cares about the fact they own a Camaro.

Now there are 3 very nice Gen 4 Firebirds in town. They usually give me a nod.

One day on the road I had a 4th gen Camaro come up behind me and take a picture of my SS.
