Keep in mind you don't have to shut it as hard as other vehicles. The windownbeing down means not much back pressure.

Mine feel solid and high quality. I'm comparing to my parents toyotas and my nephews 4th gen. I think any door with out a full framed window will feel not as solid as one with the frame.

By the way, You can stuff insulation inside and wrap a tin can with leather but under that you still have a tin can... Not a better quality can, it's just softer and quieter
Humm... leather wrapped beer cans sounds high end to me.

Bingo "X" marks the spot. Damn, those were fast cars back then.

Did you see that one turned up in the cash for clunkers program? How sad is that.

Okay, sorry that was a minor thread jack diversion. Now, back to our regulary scheduled complaint thread.

I too agree with the OP. It's not that it doesn't have a solid "clunk" when the door closes but it has a sort of "squeak" to it. I notice it every time my wife gets out of the car. I attribute it to the window indexing as some others have. It's not a matter of not having a window frame. Our C5 has a solid sound and it doesn't have a frame.

Definately not a stupid post but it's not a big deal (nor do I think that was the intent of the OP). If someone chimed in with a fix, I'd be all over it.

My doors close very solid, but they squeek when they close, very anoying.

As far as materials go, GM tends to go on the cheap with hard plastics in the interior. They may last, but they are not pleasing. Soft materials are more expensive to make if they are intended to last. No, it's not a $50k, $60k etc... car, but when foreign cars that cost $20k use more pleasing materials that last it becomes inexcusable.

I can't stand the people on this forum that get so upset when you are critical of the car in any way. It is very nice, but it aint perfect, and if no one complains about the imperfections, then GM will be right back on their old track of never improving. Thank them for what is good and bitch like hell about the things that aren't right.

I've agreed with the good and bad. But this statement I can't let go.

How many of those $20k vehicles will have 400+ HP and do the 1320 in 13 or less?

That'd be zero.

There is a reason you bought this car and not one of those.
