Yes, but $77 for a year is cheaper than $34 + 6-mo at full price... They may have a limit on how many 'special' deals you can get (like Time Warner Cable).

I never answered their calls till like 2 days before it expired. They must have got desperate by then. I got 3 months for half price ($24). Probably won't do it again, its nice but they want way too much for it. You gotta watch them, they originally had me setup on a 3 year renewal after my 3 months that auto charged my CC. I found out when I called in to verify something. I had them remove my CC from my file but they had to pull strings to do it. There was even a fee they had to reverse to do it. I'd keep an eye on your bill and cancel early if you don't want it to renew!

They just called me last night and as I told them before, the car is in storage for the winter so I don't need it. Then they offered me 5 months for $23 plus $3 for something and I can call when I bring her out and they will activate it then. Wanted a credit card and I said no, so they are sending the bill in the mail. That figures out to be $5 per month. (May,June,July,Aug.,Sept. and that will put me back to about the time for storage for next winter.)

If you DO decide to re-up your subscription, here's an idea to avoid giving them your credit card info.
If you have PayPal that is tied to your checking, you can use that pretty easily. I have the PayPal plug-in on my browser (Firefox). I can use the plug-in to generate a virtual one-time-use Mastercard credit card number. You should be able to use this card number to subscribe. They cannot use the number again since once it is used, it expires.
I've used these many times online for purchases and they are great. You never have to worry about a vendor "double-dipping" into your funds.

I haven't received the call yet (I'm up in April), but is XM known for double dipping? Do they tack on fees for sending in a check for payment? Normally I wouldn't have an issue giving out my CC #, but am leary after reading this.

So did I, then the installment plan on the lifetime when the 5 months run out. My XM & Sirius will have paid for itself before the car is paid off, that is depressing
