Your 100% correct some car dealers will try to ripoff anyone, my point was that some, not all mind you, think that some are easier targets than others.
Thats all, wasnt trying to offend anyone
As for the trade the nice part about adding the trade in at the end is knowing exactly what you are getting for the trade. No numbers games.

That's invoice - your incentives, so yes.

Now what you get on your trade makes a difference too... problem being, you're after a car that is thin in supply.

There are plenty near me, but they all have more options, like stripes, polished wheels, etc...

so wait that's invoice and then the $1000 loyalty bonus too? right? oh, you can answer this for me, if i got it at invoice i would definitely NOT get the gm discount too right? LOL!

as far as the stripes and stuff, if those could be removed and me not have to pay for them (because why would i pay for something i don't want and would have removed?) then that's a totally different story. but like i said earlier. i really want to find something that is closer to 28-29k. which is why i'm thinking i'll NEVER have this car! :(

Using the GM discount. It will total about $2000 off MSRP. Plus they are required to only charge $75 in doc fee, so that will save hundreds more from a retail deal.

For the GM price, right now you would get the Preferred price, plus $1000 more off for EVA. When you were seeing just the 900 or so off, that didn't include the $1000 EVA which the Camaro is eligible for now for employees. Plus on top of that the $1000 Pontiac thing. I'll bet you'll find something in your price range.

Best thing to do is have the dealer price it both ways - using the GM discount, and without, and see which is better. I bet it will be real close.

what is the EVA? i know there is the pontiac loyalty bonus of $1000 but are you saying i would actually get $2000 because of the gm discount AND $1000 from the loyalty?

Just remember you are the one with the power because you are the one with the $$.
Be calm, patient and polite and get what you want at a reasonable price. Let them know you will go elsewhere to buy.

But as Scotty said, ABM is getting scarce. Do something soon. Good Luck.

I am a GM employee and I orderd my 2SS/RS just before the February 26 deadline and got option 1 pricing which saved me close to $5000

I don't think you can order any more 2010's and get the the GM option 1 pricing at least here in Canada.

EVA is Employee Vehicle Allowance. It is an additional discount that can be combined with the Preferred Price.

They did away with GMS a few months ago. And now it is call Preferred Price, plus certain cars are elegible for the EVA.

I looked up some 2LT Camaros in your area and they were showing $1000 EVA.

So, I'm thinking, using your Dad's GM discount and the Pontiac thing you are going to be close to $3000 off MSRP. I think. Maybe a salesperson can help confirm. But everything I see says your eligible for EVA.

Any other colors your interested in? I saw a yellow 2LT/RS with a sunroof and stripes near you. That would sure be a sharp car.

I've seen invoice. I know what it was on my car. Edmunds hasn't seen my car, my invoice, or my MSRP....they're a nice tool, but they're not a diety.

They don't need to see your car to know invoice.

Does the new program also offer the GM Pricing on used cars like GMS did? If it does, you could get a slightly used 2LT or even 2SS for a steal. I've seen used SS's going for $30k as the advertised price. Just another monkey wrench in the mix.

They must, because the 'invoice' the poster quoted was incorrect for my car.
