How to organize a Car show for charity

I have a idea and good charities to attach it to, but I have never done anything like this before.

Any help would be great.

I know I should find some sponsers for prizes and whatnot.
I also need to find a place to host it.

Check out the "East End Hot Rods presents AUTISM SPEAKS" thread. My club is hosting a charity event. It is going to be hudge! I am also trying to get it stickied on the fourms.

It's pretty simple really -

Find the place to hold the event

Set up a date

Contact charities or create your own

Get sponsors

Get entertainment, and I don't mean wedding singing bands, it's a car show you will need someone who is explosive and is kind of famous

Contact the local pd and hire the best security that you can get
local pd won't help guard the event, that's security, but the pd will keep an eye on the roads and wherever else they are willing to do

Use Facebook, etc, maybe see about a local celeb. You really need to bait people in to get a good turnout. Awesome with the Autism Speaks charity ASD are not only really personal to me but its a hard life for anyone that has it and the governments need to pay more attention to it instead of propping up the rich and powerful.

Thanks to everyone.

I have contacted the local Camaro Club for any help they might be able to give.

I have thought of even contacting the local mustang club and see if they would be any help. (You always need someone to clean up.)
