Guys dont worry, Im not paying a penny for it untill i get a paper from them signed, that it will be the exact same car as this black concept.
All im going to pay before it get built and shipped is a deposit of $500,
And then if it is what i asked for ill pay the rest

I Didnt pay or order it yet.

And for the price, they are trying to charge me high 40s !!
Which seems fair to me, not too over priced.

Thats exactly why i joined this forum,
To see if its really going to be the same Black Edition or they are BS like some said !
Yall know better.

GM cannot and will not build you a concept car (which is all the Camaro Black is). I'm guessing your dealer will just end up ordering you a black SS and either installing the ground effects kit on it or telling you to do it yourself.

Yall know better. So please lemme know what yall know about this Concept camaro.
I know you have your heart set on it, but the Black Edition is a custom one off never intended for production. Just like the Chroma concept. Just like the Dusk concept.

It is a standard v6 model with the RS package, ground effects, the 21" wheel package, custom interior, and a custom matte finish hood and spoiler. If your dealer is going to provide this for you, fantastic!

However, before spending the money, you should understand that you will not be receiving a special edition model, a fancy vin, or any sort of collector's piece. The car you purchase will be a customized SS. If that's okay with you and you get a fair price--more power to ya!

Sorry, to tell you but GM does not build the BLACK concept, you can go aftermarket and do it yourself. Which would probably end up costing you a fortune.

The dealer is taking advantage of you.

Your right, but I dont think they can do that ...
They said they will get it all done by themselves not me,
and like i said i will get a paper signed by the manager.

I agree with u that they might just get me a Black ss and add all the mods that are on the Black Edition Camaro,
I dont mind them doing that, since the price i got was reasonable and better than just getting a black SS.

Here is the list i gave them with what im going to be expecting on this BLACK EDITION CAMARO they're making me :

Exterior :

  • Chevy Accessories ground effects package and rear diffuser
  • High-intensity discharge headlamps with unique red "halo ring" color
  • Revised, darker grille finish
  • RS tail lamps with dark-tinted lenses
  • Color-matched exterior badging "BLACK"
  • SS-model spoiler
  • Matte black hood/spoiler finish
  • Tinted glass
  • Chevy Accessories 21-inch wheels with darkened finish
  • Brembo four-wheel disc brake package

Interior :

  • Red LED instrument lighting and red footwell ambient lighting
  • Black chrome trim accents
  • Dark-finished accents, including the shift knob, radio face, steering wheel ring, gauge trim and door handles
  • Custom sill plates
  • Leather-covered seats with grey accent stitching
  • Chevy premium audio upgrade package, along with MTX speakers.

Good luck to you, it looks like you know what you're getting yourself into. You should encourage your dealer to join this forum and post a build thread!

Thanks for the feed back

I will look into that and go back to them tomorrow,
I think ur right that it will be a customized ss, But why not go for it if the price is same as a standard ss ...
Seems to me that i am the one taking advantage from them by paying for a standard SS, But getting a Customized one

ANY ONE RACED A JEEP SRT8 BEFORE ?

Your dealer is offering you something that does not exist. That is a GM concept car. The factory does not build those. In addition, dealers do GFX.

Why don't you price this out: Start with either a V-6 or a V-8, your choice. Make it an RS if you want. Add the GFX and the 21" wheels. Black out a few more items and that for all practical purposes is the BLACK CAMARO. See what price you calculate. Hate to see you pay an crazy premium for a replica.

Edit: Sounds like you are pricing it out. Good for you.

High 40s for a blacked out 2SS RS with the overpriced GM 21" wheels IS too over priced. Low 40s is MSRP. Now if they're doing all the other custom mods you asked for and you clearly don't mind spending the dough I'm sure you'll end up with a great car that you'll love. I'd just ensure you take another look at the math. And be honest with yourself about what you're getting, a customized black SS, not a special BLACK edition anything. Good luck with the order. No doubt you'll enjoy the car!
