I use mine to hook my sunglasses in - on the passenger side, of course - so they aren't totally useless.

I know what you're saying! I had a Malibu a while back and there were little pieces of plastic on the inside of the visor that slid out (almost the length of the visor) and blocked more. When in the front, it would close the gap under the rearview mirror. When on the side, it would cover all the way to the back of the front window. I'm sure someone on here could easily make something like that.

You should just wait until you get your car and then read this thread - it will all come together then . . . you're wasting your time here until then.

If I get really bored I'll rig something up ....maybe even just putitng a bend in the right place in the plastic laynard would do the trick....as you can see..I'm not real concerned about it lol.
I saw the infamous hair tie trick a few months back on here, but what I've done is when I take the cap off if you swing it around in the right direction you can lay it over the fuel door where the handle grip is against the car and not the inner part, works great for me, though the kink idea seems like a good one. . .

That's where I put mine too! My magnum had a little compartment for them all the way center on the roof (where the interior lights are on here). I never in a million years would think I would miss anything about that car...but that, I do.

TOTALLY AGREE! Nothing is perfect on any car - but this car is as close as it gets! Love mine, too.

Pathetically (on my part), I have never noticed the gas cap thingy. I've had my car since Sept and didn't even see it - I'll have to go check it out . . .

Door locks.

Same here. But I guess it assures us that we won't lock our keys in the car. I'm sure there is a way to disable this, but I'm used to it now and it's okay with me.

I'm going to have to go with the heated mirrors and rear defogger on a 2SS with summer only tires.

While my loaded Silverado with Z71 off road M&S tires was packaged with no rear defogger.

haha I think this is interesting but the defrosters/heaters are definately not useless here. . .maybe the summer tires I'm one of those "shame-on-you" all weather drivers with summer tires. . .

Yes you can turn it off...hit the config button(radio) scroll down to vehicle settings, then scroll down to door locks. You can turn that lock out protection off. You can also set up a delayed lock feature, which I think you hit the button once and the door doesn't actually lock until you close the door. Hit it twice and it will lock with the door open.
You can also turn off the auto unlock(when you remove the key) or set it to only auto unlock one door ect..

The "kink" was a simple solution that works..and if you didn't know better you would think it was made that way..

Here is my .02...I didn't see the thread as bitching...NOTHING is perfect,no harm is sharing opinions about the features of a car IMO and the post/thread is on topic with this forum.
I have seem alot less useful threads around here...but I still wouldn't chime in on those and tell someone to keep their mouth closed about whatever they wanted to post about, especially if it is on topic...maybe you should start your own forum?
lol
