It only comes in a targa top. That way you can't accidentally the whole thing.

I'm in the exact same predicament.

I can buy one now, but want to see what official changes the 2011 will have.

my worst fear is that it changes in a direction i don't like(ex. uglier grill or rim, higher price, etc.) and then i won't be able to get a 2010 model in the color and options that i want.

i wonder when GM will release the info regarding the 2011 model so i know whether to go ahead and order a 2010 or wait more.

If you are talking about removing the "B" pillar and have a roll down rear side window thus making it a true Hardtop instead of having a "B" pillar and a fixed rear side window, then No, the entire structure would have to be re-engineered for the crash standards.

I may be a dinosaur, but a hardtop to me is----

is a coupe with the B pillar removed as mentioned above in this thread. Think 57 Chev BelAir, 69 Buick etc. The Camaro would look very very good in a traditional hardtop but it ain't gonna happen IMO.

Hoping to hear if it will come with HUD!
The colors are all rumors of a friend of a friend of a cousin who has a buddy who has a son that works in the paint mixing department that met a guy from corporate who wanted new paint cards or some other such crap. I've read numerous threads that each claim to have "proof" of a new color for the '11 MY and have counted over half a dozen blues, 3 whites, a dozen yellows, 2 oranges, 2 silvers, a different red and a different black. None of the paint threads have ever been commented on by someone that works for GM and just like all the other "'11 MY options" threads until they do DO NOT BELIEVE IT!

Now with that out of the way, the ONLY two things commented on by someone in the know with GM are;

- HUD is in the works. Do not know if it will be in at the start of the '11 production but it will make to the Camaro eventually.
- Nav will not go into the Camaro any time soon. The Camaro consumer base that wants this option is too small atm to justify the cost of research and development to put it in the Camaro. That's not to say it will never happen just don't be upset if it doesn't happen for the next couple years.

That's what I meant. Is there going to be a hardtop version of the 2012 Camaro...guess not.

crash test requirements pretty much killed any and all hardtops... especially with the new roof strength requirements. I'm not even sure what the last hardtop was?? it was well before my time, i'm sure!
