LT Headers Check Engine Light HELP!!

I have ARH LTs with high flow cats, is there any way of fixing the check engine light without a tune? Maybe a fuse pull or something, I need a fix that will last for a long time or fix it completely, thanks guys

A fuse pull will only reset the codes but just as soon as the computer runs it's diagnostic it will come back on.

Pretty much a tune is your only option to get rid of it though some have commented that it will go away eventually on its own once the computer learns the new exhaust.

only way to get rid of codes is a tune... didn't you do the research before buying them? if you didn't want codes or a tune, shoulda gone with shorties IMO.

Why add headers and not a tune? The tune will maximize the headers that have already theoretically voided your warranty.

I think he doesn't want to completely throw out his warranty.

The codes probably have something to do with cat efficiency or o2 sensors. It's a bi-product of moving the cats farther away from the engine. Only way to really get rid of those codes is to shut them off. Go to Autozone and have them check your codes. It's free and once you know what the codes are, we can help out more.

Oh, and just installing the longtubes doesn't void your warranty.

The SES is a result of just about any set of headers with good high flow cats. You can get a mail order tune done to solve that & add a few extra hp. For example we charge $200 to mail order tune 2010 computers! Hope that helps!

I haven't done LTs either because I don't want to lose my entire warranty because of headders. It would be nice to only lose my entire exhaust warranty.

My light is on as well and I have been told the only way to get it off is a tune or to remove them.
