I'm going to have my system installed on Good Friday. I just ordered the Tru-X from Autoanything.com

Will post videos after the install. Can't wait. I like the sound of Landshark's car and hope to achieve similar results.

bluedevil, it's just the way dodges are. previous to my camaro i had a dodge dakota with the 4.7L V8, I put an after market catback system on it and it sounded awesome. So much so that my bud with a borla setup on his corvette ordered longtube headers cause he couldn't stand my truck sounding better then his vette, those were his exact words. Dodges just seem to always have a nice rumble.

Brad, Thats cool, but watch out for the drone at 2000 rpm, I ordered the resonated x pipe today. The AMT has slightly different mufflers then my super 40's. I can't stand the drone and will adjust till I get it right.
The new x pipe gets installed on the 2nd of April. Good luck.

From what I understand you said you no no drone around town, none at 67 MPH and a little bit around 70 MHP. Was it a terrible drone? I thought a little bit sounded managable.

Do you still have it installed? Any chance you could do an in-cabin video?

Had a 50 mile freeway ride yesterday, Its not good. The camera I have is not the best for sound (Sony handycam). I plain don't like the drone. From 70-74 mph it sucks. If the resonated X doesn't help, I'm changing to the Magnaflow mufflers that JDP motorsports recommends. Call them, they know their stuff.

Thanks. I am so very frustrated with this. I just canceled my Tru-X order and am now considering returning my Flowmaster kit.

I might just screw it with exhaust and save my money and aggravation at this point. Maybe I'll reconsider this exhuast stuff later in the future.

Brad (That's my name by the way) As I've said before, Chevy packed those stock mufflers with that steel wool lookin stuff for a reason! I'll get this worked out and I want more aggressive sound from my ride. Stay tuned.

I have the Flowmaster AMT installed. Yeah there is some drone at around 1800-2000 rpm. It really doesn't bother me. I will be at ECS on the 10th. I can take you for a drive if you would like. If you want to hear it before that let me know. Maybe we can figure out a day on the weekend before that.

Exactly, i traded in a 05 Dodge Ram with a 5.7 Hemi on my Camaro, and it sounded amazing, it had a AFE intake and a Borla Pro XS dual out muffler, the Dodges just are loudest best sounding trucks/engines around IMO. I miss the sound of my truck, but not the truck. Thats why i dont plan on doing anything exhaust wise, cause i know i wouldnt be near the same, i went thrugh like 4-5 mufflers on my truck before i found the borla and i was Finally Happy. These kits cost WAY to much to get one, and not be happy with it.

Think I'll just do what we did in the old days, run a garden hose in the tail pipes and let the steel rust out. lol

I have had the Flowmaster axle-back kit for almost 3 weeks now and I really enjoy the sound. I've only experienced some drone in 6th (I have an automatic) and that was when I accelerated from very low revs (I use the it in M mode). I wouldn't change anything - I still turn the stereo down to listen to the pipes!

I made a video but it doesn't come close to the true sound so I won't post it. All the videos I've heard seem to have a higher pitch than the actual sound. Just one more opinion to think about.

And one more thing - if you're doing the install yourself, look very carefully at the install video and you'll see the Flowmaster bloke measure from the hangar on the chassis and NOT the pipe!! It's confusing and I was only saved by an earlier post where somebody got caught out by it.

Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Thanks. I'm thinking about just going for it now. Seems like enough people like it.

I was going to get it installed on Good Friday and am out of town this weekend. I'd love to hear it first though.

Where in NJ are you?

Thanks to everyone that's been helpful so far.
