Darth-Emma -- Thanks for going with Keith. You won't regret it. Everytime we see him he walks around Merlin and checks his work. He's not completely happy with some parts of it as it was his first install on a 5th Gen but it's fine by me.

Probably the worst part about having the clear bra on your car will be the jerks who will finger it and/or pick at it and then ask you what's wrong with your car.

Personally, I like not worrying about flying debris anymore. When you meet Merlin you'll be able to see on his front end where the Expel has deflected stuff. I think you'll like the Expel better as, like RS-Man said, the 3M has a definite orange-peel look to it.

I have a program for my mac that resizes the pictures for export, but I want it to do what yours did so it makes them a little smaller and when you click on them they get bigger.

Thanks. I look forward to Keith at the mod day.

DE- I'm glad that 3M improved their product - it really didn't compare to the Xpel favorably at all.

I was the same way about rock chips once I finally got my car after such a long wait. I actually refused to drive it on the freeway until I got the clear bra on it :-)

You need to get the pice that covers where the hood latches! Not sure what its called or where you get it but a car at CincySpeed has it. Let me see if I can scab a pic from facebook... BRB

I doubt I'll make it. I'm waxing my daily driver and neither of my Camaro's are clean enough to show.

I'm getting concerned about my brake/clutch fluid as it is starting to look pretty dirty at 5000 miles. The picture below looks worse than it looks in person.

I went with C.A.I. Inc Inductions from their website. I saw a review on CAIs here and it ranked best without a professional tune and 2nd I think overall.

You can purchase it here... very clean install!!!

http://www.coldairinductions.com/car...roducts_id=875

It took 30 minutes to install start (removal of OEM) to finish.

Is this what you are talking about? I thought it might be too much and may no fit. What do you think?

The wife and I were there today from 4 to about 6:30, had the Camaro out and desided to ride up there. Was about 50-75 cars. Lots of Mustangs....Saw about 3 Gen 5 Camaros.

How do you like your CAI? I have abandoned the idea of headers and a new exhaust for now, but I'm still thinking a good CAI would be the best bang for the buck performance wise. I'd love to see your review. I'd also like to see/hear a video of how it sounds. Reports have been that it is great.

Is this something I could buy and bring to the mod fest on the 28th? I am a total coward about doing something like this myself. I have never done any serious work on a car. But I'd love to learn.

Thanks. Your car is looking amazing.
I will see what I can do about sound/video, I just got on it again about 25 minutes ago. I have had so much fun, I was finding reasons to drive today and back roads.. I plan to pull a fee fuses tomorrow and let the computer reset the MAF with the CAI. Even without this, it is amazing. One word is Nasty! Now I have the GMPP Performance Exhaust (BORLA) and where I hear it forcing air is when I really get on it, definitely in third gear where there is noticeable additional feel in the 15hp or so. I think that is what it was rated for . I was going to get the hennessey until I saw the review I posted earlier. The hennessey would have cost me 575.00 plus but got this one for 399 plus s/h. Great customer service too. The C.A.I. Inc induction is wonderful and a great fit in the car.

Is you have the $, get it ordered and give them a call. He will ship next day if his filters are in and you should have it in a week or less. I would be happy to walk you through the install.

Depending on weather next Friday, we will be there. Moving Gymnastics practice for the daughter to Tuesday to accommodate the Cruise-in. She starts this Tuesday...
