He might actually dislike people who have Porshes and BMWs more than Americans.
On a side note-My buddy borrowed my truck yesterday and left his 2008 M5 with me with no driving restrictions. How much of a pillock am I for not taking it out? |

I've been in it. She's got teeth. I could just see my luck meeting with someone elses $90,000 car ending poorly. Plus, when I get my car I don't want to hear "But I let you drive mine." To bad SUCKA!

Really? U want a golden shovel so you can dig that hole in style?
I think you need to quit while your behind. (really..this is kind of stupid and neither of us are going to get anywhere because you aren't seeing my point - and apparently, according to you - I'm a moron... back at you, my friend...)...At any rate, TopGear would work fine on channels like Spike TV or something more "in your face". Lots of cable channels that don't really care who they offend, as long as someone watches it. The fact that BBC America airs it should say something about what they feel if you "can't get the jokes" - they are selective as to what comes from the UK and makes it to American airwaves (they only pick the shows they think will make it here in the US.) There are a lot of good shows in the UK that never see the light of day on BBC America.

It's terrible because I honestly think the whole thing would of just ended up in some Lawsuit from a car maker getting all pissed off and filing for slander. They have a German show that's similar with Sabine Schmit and I can't remember who else....

Man did Jeremy kill the Viper, but if you watch that review against the Z4, I actually like Jeremy. He's funny, witty and doesn't have to take shots at peoples' culture etc. That video was exciting and somehow the Corvette C6, though not raced, was the best American car he drove. That review was fun, I have to admit.

I will say this about the show........I was always a horsepower guy. I followed the numbers and bought accordingly. However, I was watching the show one night where they were going on and on about how great the RX-8 was, and that was a car I would have never considered because I thought it was slow as balls.
But as luck would have it, I ended up getting to drive one shortly thereafter, and even though it was kinda slow, I have never had so much fun driving a car around before. That's when I really understood how it ain't all about horsepower, but more about weight and balance. I like their reviews, and I think they would trash anything they hated, whether american or not. |

![]() Yeah I also test drove a RX-8 a few years ago. They are nice, well balanced cars, but damn the N/A rotary is gutless under 5,500 rpm! Plus I have had the pleasure of driving a RX7. That might not be a fair comparison, but Mazda really does need a turbo on the Rotary. I think their engine tech has come far enough to make it more reliable than the RX-7.
