Did I anywhere in my responses condone street racing? Was I in any way shape or form involved in that topic? No, I was not. I agree that street racing is illegal, but I will admit that I've done my share when I was far younger. I called you an internet tough guy after you started the name calling, as you have no right to call anybody names. You did no refer to my avatar name at all, so why would I address that comment?
I just happened to agree with Ghost, and not agree with knights constant dodging, as he called it "deflecting", and found it very funny how knight is accusing another of something he himself is guilty of. |

Where you erred was when you came to the defense of the ones who were deflecting to hide the fact that they lost the debate. You even mentioned my avatar yourself. (Post #130.) |

I'm with Skyman. I think everyone just needs a
As for the OP, I think he did the right thing, and I find it absolutely hilarious that the individual in the Mustang didn't bother to look in the rear view mirror. Reminds me of a friend of mine who had a Mustang in high school. She pulled up next to my other friend who was in his '99 Z28 at a red light. She failed to notice BOTH squad cars sitting behind her and when the light turned green, she smoked the tires and the officers immediately lit up the lightbars. My buddy in the Z28 was too dumbstruck to even leave the intersection. He never even moved. |

It does not bother me I said my piece and If they want to call it preaching then so be it.. I don't care... It seems like all sides are about saying the same thing about street racing is stupid. so I don't understand why it got so out of hand..

In all honesty, his questions were relevant. Street racing is just that, Drag racing on the street. Before all of the "rice" got involved, and actual street racing became this "fast and the furious" (which I refer to as the slow and the curious) nonsense, actual street racing was done on a desolate street, at very late hours (early depending on how you looked at it), and was run in a fairly organized fashion. Once these other things came into play, where actual innocent bystanders have been hurt and killed, they lumped it all together and call it street racing. Besides being a crime now, it's also a driving offense, such as speeding, excessive speed, failure to obay a traffic device, participation in an illegal speed contest, etc. etc.. By him asking you if you had ever sped, or anything else, he was simply asking if you had EVER broken any driving laws. Very simple actually. But you had to drag it out and make it into a complete seperate argument instead of the topic at hand. |

Interesting article...not to hard to find. Again, Im not an advocate for street racing. This just shows how it compares to other driving activities. |

![]() But the point here is, even on a desolate road now-days, you never know what's ahead. There have been several instances that I'm aware of in my area where two cars decided to drag race down a "desolate" road only to find someone pulling out of their driveway because they were headed to their graveyard shift job. Just because you don't want to admit it's a risk, doesn't mean it actually isn't one. I will say this, if you want to "street race" then no one can stop you. I just hope you've already considered all of the possible consequences before you dicide to punch the gas. |

I'm not a street racing cheerleader by any means. As I said early, I did my share when I was younger, but I still open her up for a stretch here and there. What I meant by that post is that the questions asked were relevant. |

But how are they relevant? They're only relevant to his driving record, not to whether or not street racing is bad or dangerous.
I see how some might think Knightman may have stated his opinion about street racing more forcefully than necessary, but it doesn't change how dangerous street racing is or (at the very least) can be. I just don't see how any of the questions posed towards Knightman were relevant to the topic of street racing. That's all. |

He was preaching against street racing and how dangerous it is, yet he verywell may be conducting driving activities that are far more dangerous all while making him out to be the better person. Did you read the link I posted? Its pretty eye opening. |
