Even though I don't have my 2LT anymore, I still read the V6 boards. This is a great thread. I don't know that Airaid will respond. He seems to have disappeared after the last Airaid thread. He's in a pretty tough spot.

IMHO, if they DON'T respond to these issues, wouldn't they be risking future damage to their company by not addressing issues for this car as well as other make model owners who suddenly find fault with the Air Raid products? You know the owners will tell friends to be aware of Air Raid not backing up our CAI's? Look at what a mess Toyota is finding themselves in in the press alone. Take care of this mess and they might avoid a greater loss of revenue in repeat business.

I'm hoping Dave's trying to get his hands on another LT to re-dyno...

It really depends on how they view the market. If they figure most of their customers are uninformed, they may just opt for silence. I noticed that they are selling a throttle body spacer for the LLT on their site. Seems like in that case they are clearly selling something that cannot possibly make power. Maybe that is the business model?

I'm sure Airaid makes good products and things usually work as planned. I think this LLT engine has been a nightmare for many manufactures. It seems to be very well built and GM is getting just about everything they can out of it from the factory. This is why we don't and probably won't see very many things for the engine aftermarket wise. Which is fine with me, that way I can spend my money on other things like wheels and such.

I hope after all of this Airaid will go back to the drawing board and come up with a replacement intake tube that actually increases rwhp, make it a free upgrade to those that have dished out the 300 bucks already. If not, I'll look into returning it and they shouldn't have a issue with that.

Thanks scrming for all you do and the way you try to be as fair as possible.
Hello kga10734,

As you are hoping, we in fact are testing the V2 intake tube. We do stand behind our product and we are going to release a "Make good" replacement tube which we are sure will impress!

Beta testers are wanted. Please PM me. Also, we are seeking any Camaro5 members in the Phoenix area for dyno testing.

Thanks,
David

And as I mentioned before, this says a lot about Airaid as a company!

Scrming, we should see if they will send us a V2 intake tube! At least they know we will be honest and fair with the testing. I am extremely happy to hear that they are testing for a new tube. I respect that more, though they haven't said whether they agree there is an issue that causes loss, I will give them another chance!

David, though I don't live in Phoniex I will gladly help ya'll any way I can!

I think you an scrming should definitely get the tube out to test!

I also know of a certain 2LT that is bone stock that wouldn't mind being a guinea pig, if David will send one this way.

Me? I'm sticking with the Injen, I like the way it looks as well as performs. Unless the new AirRaid works really, really, really well, lol.
