Good move airraid! Exactly the right way to handle it! I assu
e it will take some time to do the v2 right so let me just encourage you to keep us posted frequently otherwise people will start to wonder if there are insurmountable problems or if airraid is going to back out.

So please give us an idea of timeframe (2 months?)

and verify if the v2 tube will be a free update for v1 owners

good job!

As you are hoping, we in fact are testing the V2 intake tube. We do stand behind our product and we are going to release a "Make good" replacement tube which we are sure will impress!

Beta testers are wanted. Please PM me. Also, we are seeking any Camaro5 members in the Phoenix area for dyno testing.

Great news from David, I asked K&N when they where building one for the V6 and never got a f***in reply. Airaid knows what customer satisfaction means. They are doin what needs to be done. They will continue to get my business. As a side note, when I asked Airaid about CARB certification, I got not one, but 2 replies from them, two different folks and David was one.

Gentleman,

Our R&D Dept. is diligently working on the V2 tube and should have some tubes ready for our beta testers in roughly 10 days, however it could take a bit longer.

To clarify we will be sending out the updated V2 tube to any current Airaid customers once they are ready to ship. Yes this means it will be “Free” to any current Airaid customers

I appreciate all the PM’s I have received for the beta testing and I will be in touch with you in due time.

Once the V2 tube is ready to ship, I will let everybody know. It should take about 30 days once everything is finalized with the Beta testing.

Customer satisfaction is our number 1 priority here at Airaid and we appreciate everybody’s patience on this matter.

Thanks,
David

David - Not sure if you seen my other post or not.
Does Airaid now think there is a problem with the flow in the intake tube?

Thumbs up David@Airaid

My hat is off to you and your company.

This is what I call good customer service and this is why business' get me as a repeat customer. More companies should follow your lead, espeacially in this day and age. A lot of companies wouldn't have cared if they already had the customer's cash. I'll be waiting patiently for any updates and a final V2 release. I like the looks of my Airaid, and I don't want to put the stock one back on.

I have no clue what really works for this engine, but will the new design be sort of like the others? By reducing the diameter of the intake tube some, and possibly doing away with a "wedge" so the air doesn't get choked down? I was just curious as what the new design my be like.

Thanks for caring about the customers,

Kelly

I hate to be the resident polemic here but I'm still a little confused. Just last week Airaid released their new dyno showing increased performance, and from the sounds of it this issue was dead; although not by the amount previously claimed, Airaid ostensibly increased performance.

Now Scrming's dyno shows a decrease and Airaid is back to the drawing board? And everyone lauds them? Perhaps the cynical side of me wonders if this would have been a non-issue without Scriming's analysis. Going forward am I not to believe ANY data coming out of Airaid, as it seems consumer investigation is more accurate and debunks their claims?

I applaud them for 'making things right', but to me it sounds like they went kicking and screaming...

haha!! you kids play nice

airraid found gains, they claimed it initially with a nice little graph, then the second time with a video....folks contradicted their claims with their own proof of lack of gains and some showed losses. So they are going back to the drawing board based on customer input over their own findings.....this is why they are being hailed as a stand up company.
