No front plate since I got the car in Aug. Have had everything from township police to state troopers look it over in parking lots and chit chat with me about it and they have yet to even make mention of it.
Heck, I've even been pulled over for "suspicion of erratic driving" (we'll leave it at that) and they clearly were looking for a reason to give me a ticket, once again, didn't say a thing about the plate missing from the front and yet clearly saw it wasn't there. Moral of the story is just be nice and I am sure they will probably care less about having a plate or not. I always have mine in my trunk so if they do ask, I atleast have it on me. |

I zip tied a bracket onto the lower grill. I'm not crazy about the look (kinda looks like a buck tooth, lol) but I didn't want to worry about being pulled over. No holes were drilled, so I can always take it off.

I ran from May to January without a front plate - no hassles - then I found this option on eBay via Sir Nuke - LS/LT = http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...Q5fAccessories SS = http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...Q5fAccessories
They also have versions for the GFX. I bid the lowest amount and won. Install was a breeze and doesn't touch the front of the bumper, the lower bracket attached to the fascia bolts underneath and the top bracket attached through the grill with foam and long screws. I like the way it leans in a bit - looks like its being pushed inward by wind but doesn't touch the bumper. Here's a pic also showing the aac DRL LED P13Ws.

i was fine driving 78 miles round trip from spotswood to whiting everyday got nailed in of all places Englishtown.gave me a break but told me next time a ticket.so watch out if your going to the swap meet or drags

My dealership in NJ does not install front license plate brackets on Camaros or Corvettes. I keep my front plate in the pocket of the passenger seatback for quick placement on the dashboard if I get stopped. I'll be an outlaw and ride without it. Law is discriminatory because cars from states with no front plate are allowed to drive in NJ without them & motorcycles don't have front plates.
