Thanks for the pics Leo. I"m a lazy putz, and I'll sharpie the soap and water lines to save time later.
The gun is fairly rugged, towel is big and very soft, and OMG is that a lot of soap!! The package was a great deal! Thanks again. ![]() Question though, what da heck would I use the Deflector for (realistically)? A shoe horn for very-very small feet? |

I just got mine last week and used it for the first time this weekend. LOVED IT, and will never wash without and now my kids like helping me wash the cars that much more.
Get one. |

Let me explain for anyone who may be reading this and is unsure as to what the foam gun is used for. The foam gun is used along with the 2-bucket wash method. What you will do before you wash the car is thoroughly rinse the car off in order to remove the big dirt on the car. Next, you will foam the car with the foam gun. If you are outside in direct sunlight, you want to foam the car in sections as you don't want the soap drying on the car. You start at the top of the car and work your way down using the 2-bucket, two mitt technique as I describe in my videos. What the foam gun does for you is loosen up and lubricate the matted on dirt and grime so that when you come across the paint with your wash mitt, that matted on dirt and grime can be removed without scratching your paint. The soap acts as a lubricant between the dirt and the surface of your car. If you start washing the car without lubricating the dirt that is on it, you will just grind that dirt along the car's finish and that my friends is how you create a swirled up paint job. I would venture to say that 75% of your paint's swirls come from washing the car improperly. The foam gun does NOT power dirt off the car. It is not a power washer. Power washers are for patio decks and monster trucks, not for washing cars. All the power washing in America will not completely remove all the dirt off the car. It ALWAYS leaves a slight film of dirt behind that will create swirl when you go to dry the car. I plan to do a video series real soon to prove this point. If you wash your car in the garage as I do, then you can foam the entire car down as the soap will not dry anywhere near as fast. It is always best to wash the car during the coolest point of the day if you have to do it outside. I'm talking CRACK of dawn.

Mine came with a deflector too. Don't need it. Don't even know where I threw it.

I wash my car either in the morning or evening so I can foam the entire car.
I've got it down to about 30 minutes to rinse, foam, wash, rinse down, dry. I use one microfiber mitt for the top sections, one microfiber mitt for the bottom sections and a sponge for the rims. The only thing I use the bucket for is to store the washing mitts and foam gun. |
