Arrow head?

That would make the formation focused on a single point, like an arrow head, instead of in one generation direction. Yeah, I like that. We have to keep changing it up because there are more than likely going to be more Camaros at our next photoshoot. Probably would have to chalk that one out. Cool, a new project!

I was kind of thinking that maybe it was a dumb idea...but now I'm glad I mentioned it!

How about a half circle, cars pointed toward middle of circle, you can be up about 10+ and take a picture with a fish eye lense. I guess you can google fish-eye picture to get an idea what I'm talking about. You can even get the Cams back end in a half circle formation for a different angle.

Not sure if it will work, but if it did

I had a similar idea last Friday while we were up on the roof top, but didn't want to mention it at that time. Basically my idea was similar to this....put all the cars in a half circle facing the center, but then one by one we each take a turn having our car in the center, probably at an angle, it would appear that all the cars are looking at your car. I thought it would be a great way to let each of our cars have the spot light, so to speak. Photo would probably have to be taken from a slight elevation to get all the cars in the shot.

Then as your car is rotated to the center spot you could pose with your car in one shot and then get one without you in it (just the cars). We could also do one with all the car owners next to their own cars, still one car in the center at a time.

Rotation would be easy to. If you look at the crappy picture i made, it should be easy to figure out...car 1 starts in center, then car 2 moves to center and car 1 takes its place. When car 2 is done, car 3 moves the center and car 2 takes it's place...etc etc etc until we get all the way around.

Just a thought but I think it would look awesome.

Ryan

Ryan, I think the challenge would be the angle of the shot. Where would you take the picture from?

1/2 circle

Before you guys arrived on the roof, Dave and I had a rope and chalk and measured out a half circle facing the hotel. Turns out that there is not enough room between the first lamp post and the entry exit side to line 12 cars up in that formation. I stopped as soon as I realized that it wouldn't work. That's not to say it can't be done, just not up on that roof, without having a lamp post in the shot. There will be other times in other places to do that though.
