Really. Never had a problem with "dead spot" in my steering. Sounds more like a military operation targeting terrorists.

No, once they start building 2011 models the only 2010's you will be able to buy new will be left overs on the lot, IF you can find one....

There's what, 20k cars that have been built but not sold? And there's a couple months of production left, so he should be able to find a 2010 in October. Though finding the exact car he wants locally may be difficult.
