Suppose you stick your arm into a raging fire and receive 3rd degree burns. You go to the hospital and get treatment until your arm is healed. On your last appointment, your arm has totally healed and the doctor releases you to go on about your life. Before you leave, you ask the doctor, "How often should I return here for these burn treatments?" Common sense would tell you that if you don't stick your arm back in a raging fire again, the answer is never! This is the same way you should think about your paint. The question is not about how many times you can do this entire process to your paint, it is about what you need to do to keep from having to do this entire process to your paint MORE THAN ONCE! You have to learn to be preventive, not reactive. This is why I do all the things you see in my wash and wax videos. The 2-bucket wash. The foam gun. The drying technique. All of these things contribute to me never having to get brutal with my paint again. Once you totally correct your paint, you should NEVER have to do it that way again. Sure, you're going to pick up light scratches here and there, but the way you will go about taking care of those instances is a lot less brutal than the first major correction you did. Thus, you can do these "touch-ups" for years without worrying about your paint. Of course, the less you have to do, the better it is for your clear but the PC-7424XP is not going to wipe a lot of clear coat off your car anytime soon. That is what makes it so safe for a novice to use and is also why it takes so long to fix really bad damage with it. So now you know. It's not about how many times, it's about doing it once and avoiding having to do it again.

I just ordered your detailing kit from Adam's, Junkman. I'm going to wield my Porter Cable like William Wallace wielded his longsword!
