With all this talk of GM acquiring Chrysler...do you ever think cross platform inter-car kin will come of it....like a Camaro with a Hemi? Please discuss..

i doubt it. hell, even the new "Hemi's" arent true hemi's any more. just a marketing name that chrysler uses.

The Hemi will not ever be in a Camaro. GM will keep the brands apart. Chevrolet will use LS-series engines. Chrysler will use Hemis. It'll be similar to the way Cadillac used to have the Northstar V8.

I don't see why people are dissing the hemi's, they're amazing, well at least they used to be... idk what theyre like now.

Well there was a Hemi of sorts in three first gen. 302 Z/28 engines built by Smokey Yunick around 1968 one of which ended up in a Z/28. Chevy chose not to pursue it farther.

GM will only keep components of Chrysler that aren't redundant to what already exists at GM and eliminate the rest of it. Which means, as of right now, the only components of the company that arent' redundant to GM are the minivans and Jeep.

We'll see the Challenger eliminated before we see a single bolt of it screwed into a Camaro.

GM designed most of Chryslers new Hemi...It's a redesigned 4th gen motor...Seriously.

I think if GM does decide to get Chrysler, it will not put Hemi's in our precious Camaro. Hemi is legendary and has its own identity.
