Questions....

Greetings peoples... my name is Steve and I'm a Camaro-holic.... I've been suffering from my condition ever since I turned 15 and my mother gave me her 'old' car so I could start driving and not bother her with running me all over town. Well this first car happened to be a 1986 Camaro w/ a 305 that was in dire need of some attention. Well, thus began my gear head/camaro days... and it all went down hill from there. My final affair was with a '91 RS w/ 305 that I built up for street racing (you remember when that used to be 'cool' and it was all actual 'muscle cars'?) yeah, those were the days. Anyways, this car finally blew up on me and I've been stuck with a damndable mini-van for the last few years. As you can imagine, I was flooded with excitement and positive emotion when I heard about the new camaro's introduction. So hopefully soon, after the first of the year, I'll once again join the ranks and stand proud with fellow new Camaro owners.

However, I do have some inquiries about the new things, and albeit, I'm a little lazy, so instead of researching, I figured I'd ask..... so hear goes...

1) T-tops? any word?
2) Prices for the 'muscle'?
3) Release dates of various models?

I've already had several of my questions answered from briefly browsing this forum, and my thanks to you all.

Me...

There will be no T-top Camaro in this generation. Safety and weight issues have made that impossible.

Prices are available throughout the site. See the documentation sub-forum.

All trims will be available next spring. Special edition Camaros have not been publicized yet, so we do not know anything about limited production Camaros.

On an unrelated note -- it's funny to think that the new V6 Maro will easily meet or beat any performance numbers of most stock cars on the road.

We REALLY have to take our hats off, and bow to the greatness that will be the 300+HP LS-RS V6.

Way to go, GM! Time to up the ante!!!

I am looking forward to the stories of the "I beat the keerap out of a low-displacement import V8 with my'lowly' American V6 muscle!!"

Good times.....good times.....

This will be a sobering time for many that think that just because it IS a V8, they can easily blow-by a V6.

Surprise!!!!!!

LT-RS, I'm sure it was just a typo as the LS model cannot be ordered with the RS package.

I was thinking of the new people on the forum of late who might get confused. I normally don't like correcting people it just seems anal.

So true. It should even be interesting to see comparison between the Camaros V6 and other older V8s (read Mustang), especially if you introduce even one corner in!
