Is it just really subtle or am I missing something cause the paint job doesn't look too bad IMHO.

See the big L-shaped reflection just forward of the fender vent? Those shouldn't be blurry, they should be crisp and clear. The orange peel causes blurry reflections.

Maybe if they polish your car with silk haha.

It should cost a few hundread dollars because its suer easy to wet sand a already finished paint job.

If they were going to wet sand a paint job that wasn't wet sanded which would have specs of dust and orange peal then it would cost allot more. But a already finished car would take like 6 hrs from sanding to buffing.

To do a fresh pain job would be maybe 8 - 10 hrs. Most shops chare 50 - 60 an hr.

Does the wet sand and polish damage the clearcoat or paint job at all?

I've never really noticed anything but extreme examples of orange peel before...it seems like its gotta be something you're looking for to notice, is that right?

no a good wet sand should not get deep enough to get into the clear coat, but of course some shops just do not know what they are doing.......
