Come one come all.

We will all be there so if you all can make it (JR, Darth) come on up with us regulars. Lots of restaurants in the area (Green - tons but will be busy) and a Japanese restaurant-Sake (cook in front of you) right attached to the KMart parking lot.

I will do what I can to leave work early and put out cones & chairs to reserve spots.

How many spots do you all think?

I plan to polish the JEWL up on Thursday eve and keep her garaged Friday until I get home. Do the superman routine and Hunter and I will be on our way. Hope to be there by 4 at the latest. Dudes Cruisin while the girls rule the roost.

Awesome! I count seven (camaros) so far, eight if Heinzd is in. Who am I missing? Hey, we might outnumber the 'Stang gang.

Sounds like Rd Jewl and I will be there by 4:30. There's usually some open areas in the middle lanes. The outside lanes seem to fill up first. I'll bring a few folding chairs to help hold spots too. Probably pick up some new members there too.

I'm getting the 3M clear bra installed Friday. Depending on how long it takes, I may or may not make it to K-Mart Friday.

My window tint guy does it. I haven't had him to clear bra for me, but he's tinted about 6 cars for me, all a flawless job. www.shadestint.com - on mulhauser road between 747 and west chester.

Move Over Laws

I have always tried to do this, but never realized it was the law!

Sorry, a little off-topic, but thought it was good to read.

From an email:

Quote:

New Law: If a patrol car is pulled over to the side of the road with their lights flashing, you have to move to the next lane (away from the stopped vehicle) or slow down to 20 mph.......Every state except Hawaii, New York and Maryland and the D.C. has this law.

Tickets can range up to $500.00 !

Please let everyone you know who drives about this new law.

It is true (see details at the following web address). It states that except a few states, all the other US states (even Canada ) enacted a similar kind of law. See this site:

This is somewhat true. You are required to get over or "slow down", but not to 20MPH. if you slow to 20MPH on the interstate you are going to cause major problems. Ohio law states "slow down" but to remain reasonable and safe. it doesn't state how much to slow down.

This to me is common sense... but almost NO ONE does it! it amazes me. if a police car, semi truck, disabled car or whatever is on the shoulder, and i'm in the right lane (though i'm usually in the left!), i get over to the next lane. Especially if there are people milling around.

If you have ever been disabled on the side of the interstate, you know that it's a little scary, and people moving over is a big help.

also, this is much easier if you are actually paying attention to driving, and don't have to try to get over at the last second b/c you don't look beyond the rear bumper of the car in front of you.

Quote:
(A) The driver of a motor vehicle, upon approaching a stationary public safety vehicle, an emergency vehicle, or a road service vehicle that is displaying the appropriate visual signals by means of flashing , oscillating, or rotating lights, as prescribed in section 4513.17 of the Revised Code, shall do either of the following:

(1) If the driver of the motor vehicle is traveling on a highway that consists of at least two lanes that carry traffic in the same direction of travel as that of the driver’s motor vehicle, the driver shall proceed with due caution and, if possible and with due regard to the road, weather, and traffic conditions, shall change lanes into a lane that is not adjacent to that of the stationary public safety vehicle, an emergency vehicle, or a road service vehicle.

(2) If the driver is not traveling on a highway of a type described in division (A)(1) of this section, or if the driver is traveling on a highway of that type but it is not possible to change lanes or if to do so would be unsafe, the driver shall proceed with due caution, reduce the speed of the motor vehicle, and maintain a safe speed for the road, weather, and traffic conditions.

Aint that true. A Cobalt and a G6 got into on the freeway behind me monday cause the G6 didn't look in his blind spot. Then the cobalt decides to cut of the G6 and almost takes my bumper off.
