XM is okay, I wouldn't buy many XM receivers for each of your cars, just buy one portable type and move from vehicle to vehicle with a magnetic antenna and it transmits through a station on your FM receiver, and most newer cars now have a power outlet in the glove box....XM cuts off a lot in parking garages, under bridges, under a line of trees, etc....I also refused Sirius because I don't want to help pay for Howard Stern....

Sirius bought out XM because of Stern. If you pay for XM you are helping to pay for Stern. Stern is the only reason to have satellite radio. I can get all the music I want on an ipod plugged in.

the trial will expire.. you can get a month or two free if you ignore XM.

Then they will send you the 'deal'.

I still refuse to use XM. they suck...

Portable Baby

I got the portable sirius radios from target on sale for $16. It came with the car adapters, antenna, dock everything. I bought 2 of them. I put the docks in my cars. I even bought a third one for the truck. I activated the ONE radio for lifetime at $400. Now I just move it from car to car.

I did this because my wife had XM in her minivan a couple of yrs ago. When they charged her $2 for paper billing she canceled immediately. Screw that billing department. They will rob you. Pay once and have it forever.

I fully agree. Love Sirius Radio. I’ve had their service for almost seven years and never any trouble. XM – hate dealing with them.

Sirius Customer Service = speaks understandable and comprehendible English.

XM Customer Service = Speaks broken, echoing, and not so much understandable Pilipino or Caribbean English.

Solution - Sirius portable for the Camaro.

when i called xm, they did have a lifetime plan, cause they game the prices for it, far as customer service, maybe its the partilular number i called, but ive talked to only plain english speaking people, no offshore folks. Theres a number i found on another site, not the 1 800 xm radio number, but another one, they said to call, to talk to americans, not offshore people you cant understand.

It's not the crappy service that bothers me it's the crappy sound quality. I think they have it compressed wayy to much to get more content sacrificing quality.
